Profile
After a rash heroic action, Kong Kenan was approached by the Chinese Ministry of Self Reliance to be endowed with super powers. The process worked, but he has a lot to learn about using his powers, and even more to learn about being a hero.

In costume, Kenan wears a red body suit with maroon highlights, gold trim, a gold S in an octagon on his chest, and a black cape, boots, and gloves. He has short black hair, brown eyes, and looks as young as he is...though many occidentals have trouble judging the age of Chinese people.
History

In China, it is family first, so Kenan is of the Kong family and is the son of Zhondan and Meitai. In China, that is Kong Kenan, though in the US it would be Kenan Kong.
Kenan's mother Meitai died when he was 12 in an Airplane accident, he blamed the person in charge of safety inspections for her death and spent years picking on his son as petty revenge. It was when he was chasing this boy that he wound up saving him from kiddnapping or death at the hands of a supervillain...an impulsive act of heroism that happened to be caught live by a reporter named Laney Lan.
This video was seen by Dr. Omen of the Chinese Minisrty of Self Reliance, a secrative agencey in charge of helping the Chinese develop their own version of the Justice League. Ironicly enough, Zhondan, Kenan's father, has become a conspiracy theorist since the death of his wife, believing that same agency to be responsible for the plane accident that killed her. Dr. Omen approached Kenan when he went to visit his mother's grave and offered Kenan a chance to become super human. He accepted and was placed into something called the Origin Chamber and was flooded with energy. He Dreamed of the accident and of being Superman, and of trying to save his mother...and his newly granted powers surged and the chamber exploded.
Kenan has a lot of power and generally wants to do the right thing, but he has a long way to go to live up to his dreams of being the New Super-man.

His intentions are generally good, but he can hold a grudge for a long time, can be easily distracted by a pretty girl, and can be more than a little arrogant. He needs focus and to temper his arrogance to a more centered self confidence. He does respect others he sees as his superiors, noted heroes like Superman he will defer to and they may help teach him a lot.

FLIGHT
Trigram 7 should be the final power mastered, focusing power through the head to manifest flight. The limits of this power are as yet unknown, however he can probably reach at least 400 miles an hour and most likely has a flight ceiling of at least 30,000 feet.
FREEZE BREATH
Trigam 6, focusing energy into mouth, probably grants this ability, however he has yet to reach this level of mastery and did not manifest this power (unlike Heat Vision and Flight) suring his initial power surge.
HEAT VISION
This Ability corresponds to trigram 5, focusing power into the eyes. This power appears to be strong enough to melt steel and set most flammable materials on fire. Some materials may be sundered violently when unevenly heated (IE, some things blow up when hit by this).
INVULNERABILITY
By focusing his power into trigram 0, in the belly, he can make himself highly resistant to physical harm. It appears he dos still need to breathe in this state.
SOLAR ABSORPTIION
This appears to work differently than his other powers, not requiring focus on the trigrams. It appears to be constant and involuntary, whenever Kenan is exposed to high levels of solar radiations, he experiences a temporary power surge (early on, before he learned to focus his powers, this power surge would restart his powers when they were temporarily lost). This does NOT mean he is immune to damage from the energy he is absorbing (unless he is invulnerable at the time), though he is at least resistant.
SUPER HEARING
By focusing his power into Trigram 2, which corresponds to the ears, Kenan can gain super hearing.
SUPER SPEED
By focusing his abilities into trigram 4, the feet, Kenan can gain super speed. It is likely he could exceed the speed of sound, but there may well be collateral damage if he does.
SUPER STRENGTH
By focusing his power into Trigram 1, the hands, Kenan can gain super strength. He can easily shatter stone or bend steel and can lift and throw objects weighing tons. It seems probable he can lift at least 500 tons if properly focused. He can also leap great distances when using his strength this way and may be resistant to physical impact.
X-RAY VISION
This appears to correspond to Trigam 3, focusing his energy into his thighs...oddly enough. Using this he can see through most materials or in the dark, and may be able to manifest other forms of enhanced vision as well.

CONTAINMENT SUIT
This is more than just his costume. It was placed on him to help him survive the power endoment process and continues to assist him in safely using his powers.
