A man of fairly average height, no more than 6'0", and to look at him, he's probably around 200 to 230 pounds of raw muscle. His hair is golden blonde, held back in a loosely gathered ponytail that trails down to about his mid-back, and clashing nicely with his vibrant green eyes. He's wearing a large black leather jacket over an NSP t-shirt, both of them failing to fully disguise the perfectly sculpted musculature beneath. Down below are a pair of grey sweatpants, coiling just above a pair of freshly broken in brown steel toed boots. He looks like he hasn't shaved for awhile, a golden stubble spreading unchecked across his face.

History

Long ago, in the final hours of the long lost year of 2002, a cult invoked a ritual to summon an infant of the heavens, snatching it straight from the cradle for their dark purposes. As they finished their preparations to sacrifice it, a police raid burst in. As the cult members were rounded up, the infant was collected and, with no identification of any kind, sent to child services to be cared for. Over the years, he would be in and out of homes, none able to handle the powerful child, resulting in him becoming something of a fixture at the orphanage in which he was entrusted. The headmistress of the orphanage was a woman by the name of Helga Fischer, a first generation German immigrant, and the one who gave the infant the name of Josef Forster. Josef still writes to her semi-frequently, viewing the woman as a mother figure. Upon turning 18, Josef was turned out of the home into the harsh reality of the world with little to his name beyond the clothes on his back, forced to scrape together a living through manual labor. After several years of drifting from place to place, he eventually ended up in New York City, advancing quickly enough as a dock worker to get a stable living as a unionized longshoreman. Everything seemed to be looking up....And that's when the cult resurfaced. Not all of them where nabbed in the raid, and they still owe their dark lord a powerful soul. Josef hasn't been directly confronted in any way yet, but the wheels are in motion, his co-workers acting strangely, overly secretive shipments, and a general air of unease slowly descending over his life....

Personality

Josef is generally affable in nature, though he is prone to occasional bouts of gloom and melancholy, during which he frequently secludes himself. Josef is relatively slow to anger, but once his ire is raised, very little can calm him back down, save prolonged periods of some form of graphic violence, whether it be real, or escapist fantasy. He also has a tendency towards playing the comedian, quick to make jokes of most anything, and even going to great lengths to make a mockery of serious situations, though there are some lines he won't cross.

ALLSPEAK
As an Asgardian, Josef is endowed with the Allspeak, the ability to fluently speak any language in the Nine Realms.

ASGARDIAN BODY

As a son of Asgard, Josef enjoys many baseline differences to humans. He can move at incredible speeds, remain in peak physical performance for a full day and night without rest, lift around 30 tons unassisted, and withstand downright comedic levels of punishment, healing off the few things that can scratch him in a fraction of the time that it would take a human. Furthermore, he is largely immune to disease, and ages at an incredibly reduced rate compared to a human. However, having never known a life beyond Earth, Josef is largely untested in his abilities, and indeed, knows rather little of them.

COMBAT PROWESS
Josef has no formal combat training of any kind. His style of fighting is little more than a mimicry of boxing and wrestling seen on TV, relying almost entirely on his great strength and reflexes to pick up the slack in his technique.

TECH SAVVY

Josef is a child of the new millennium, and has expanded his study of mechanics and electrical equipment beyond his basic needs as a dock worker. While he's certainly no genius engineer, he can operate heavy and complicated machinery with minimum prep time, and can understand and repair all but the most advanced tech available if given enough time and parts. Alien tech would of course take far far longer, but wouldn't necessarily be out of the question.

DOCK WORKER
Being longshoreman doesn't just pay well, it also gives one first sight on a lot of things that come into the city. There's a good chance that if something strange, suspicious, or dangerous were to come, Josef would know of it rather quickly, either first or second hand.

ORPHANARIUM

The orphanage Josef grew up in is funded mostly by donation. Which is to say that staff often have to pay for basic necessities out of pocket. Josef knows this, and thus uses much of his salary to help fund the struggling institution, losing the high pay of a union longshoreman, but gaining a wellspring of peace of mind and something to think about to bolster his will in times of hardship.

MARK OF CLAIMING
When Josef was first taken by the cult, a mark was ritualistically inscribed on him in preparation for sacrifice. While the physical mark was easily washed away, the magicks of it are inscribed on his very soul. Those who know the intricacies of the rite can, with a simple chant, weaken and harm him from anywhere within line of sight. In addition, those able to tap into the magicks of the mark can locate Josef anywhere in existence across the Nine Realms, with only the slightest margin of error. Josef is unaware of this marking, and even if he were, it would take a mage of immense power to break the spell, and even then, they would most certainly need a copy of the original ritual to suss out how to undo it.

ORPHAN
Josef, as his name likely implies, did not grow up in Asgard. Indeed, he was abducted before he was old enough to remember it. Thus, Josef knows nothing of Asgard, including his existence as an Asgardian, or indeed any of the Nine Realms beyond his adoptive home of Earth.

PRIDE
While normally fairly mild mannered, Josef wont back down just cuz someone demands it. He'll gladly take a stand against any challenge, and will force himself to keep going till his body completely gives out, even if it's clear he's got absolutely no possibility of success. As a wise vampire once said, some things ya gotta decide are worth fightin for.

PROMISE SOUL

When he was first abducted, Josef was marked by the cult as an offering to their dark deity, and that has not been forgotten. The cult suffers horribly under their master's lash for failing to provide the promised sacrifice, and will do anything it takes to properly sacrifice the wayward Asgardian. And should they fail, well...There will always be others looking to curry favor with the darkness...
