Location: Apartment A2 - Summers - Mutant Town

Cast of Characters: Polaris, Havok

Polaris has posed:
There had been vampires. A crazy punk group, demons from an alternate dimension. And psychics. And in the middle of it all was Lorna, once again the victim of some crazy mental break down it seemed. Why did people always target her for evil mind control tactics? WS it because she already had an unstable mind and therefore and easy target? Or perhaps just bad luck?

Either way she is quite exhausted, but thankfully mostly back to herself after a chance encounter with The Scarlet Witch and The Cuckoos helped to unravel some of the psycho-mystical attacks that had plagued her for the past several months. And after several months of acting strange, distant and AWOL, Lorna had finally come home.

Of course but the time she makes it to the apartment, she collapses on the sofa, exhausted. Fortunately it's more a restful nap than some life threatening coma or the like.
Havok has posed:
She would have found the apartment cleaned, straightened, and tidy. He did however utilize the dining room table and extra portable tables in the same room for rocks and research. He's got a lot of pages printed and sealed in a binder. As if the research is ready for presentation. Has he really finished what they took years to compile? Very likely. Now it's a matter of presenting it to the Doctorate panel. But that's for another day.
Havok has posed:
During her nap, Alex walks in. He isn't expecting to find Lorna in the apartment. So he didn't even notice her when he walked in, turned left and entered the kitchen. He slid his keys onto the bar and then removed his light jacket to lay next to them. Alex then walked deeper into the kitchen to open the fridge, grab a bottle of water and a hand full of individually wrapped cheese sticks. Then it hit him. There was someone on the couch. He quickly sits everything to the side and exits the kitchen in route to the living room where he'll turn the corner and see Lorna asleep. He pauses several feet away, stares quietly and wonders what mood she's in today. Or if she's going to be lucid."
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane had been so tired that she didn't even notice the layout on the table. These days, her mind has been elsewhere, far from home. not herself. It must have so very frustrating for people around, especially for Alex most of all.

As he nears, she yawns and stretches, murmuring his name before drifting to peaceful sleep.

In fact she stays asleep for a little while, at least 20-30 minutes before she blinks and stirs, yawning and stretching. Oh wait, she's not along.

She blinks, peering around sleepily. "Mmm...Alex..?"
Havok has posed:
Alex will say quietly, "Hey, Lorna. How you feeling?", though keeping his distance. Trying to figure out which Lorna he's going to get this time. He'll lean against the corner of the wall that is adjacent to the bar. Letting his blue eyes watch for clues, patterns, indications. It's pretty clear that it's taken a toll on him.
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane sits upright, rubbing her eyes as she peers at him. "Tired but much better..Finally feeling like myself. Still have a major headache from everyone trying to get in my head though.." she frowns, noting the distance he puts between them.

"But you don't trust me, do you.." she sighs, shoulders sagging a bit.
Havok has posed:
He listens and tries to sort out all the possibilities beyond the Cuckoos. He wonders if Jean, Xavier, Betsy, Emma... or who knows tried to get into her head and fix what was going on. He gently shakes his head and says, "Not that I don't trust you. I'm just wondering if you're actually my Lorna; and for how long before you take off again. Just... you know, trying to sort it out."
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane sighs again and nods. "I understand..You've been through hell because of me, and I'm so sorry..." she hangs her head. "If only I were a bit stronger and could resist these attacks, then you wouldn't have to worry.."

And then an idea hits her. "Then..Seal my powers away, knock me out, tie me up..Don't let me go until youve had a full evaluation and clearance by both the Cuckoos and my sister.."

She stares down at her hands, tears falling from her eyes. "I'm so sorry I caused you so much trouble.."
Havok has posed:
Everyone hates the mutant control collars. They all hate not having powers. Except for maybe Rogue with Leech in the next room. Alex thinks about how that level of domination and control could effect her, but also how it would give them the opportunity to handle her until she was purged and cleared. He recalls Hank having one of the collars a few years back and wonders if he still has it. Otherwise, Alex will need to find Leech and bribe him.

Alex doesn't even address the 'caused trouble' topic. He won't get into that now. Instead, he reluctantly asks, "You sure you're good with that?" Trying to discern whether or not she's serious.
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane continues to stare at her hands, carefully weighing the potential consequences of her decisions and nods. "If these powers will only continue to hurt you and everyone else, then as long as you believe I'm still being influenced..I'll do it. For you. For us.." she glances hopefully at him.
Havok has posed:
He's not going to hesitate or show weakness. He pushes off the corner and turns to grab his jacket, "Get your stuff, let's go.", will be his very direct statement while he slides his jacket on one sleeve at a time. "We'll head back to the mansion, get Hank to sort it all out for us." - at least he said 'us'.
Polaris has posed:
Lorna Dane swallows, a bit fearful when she realizes he is taking all of this seriously, but she nods, climbing to her feet and grabbing her jacket, following after him. "Heh..I should never have left...But I suppose this is for the best.."
Havok has posed:
Opening the door, he turns to look back to her. He waits at the door, reaching, offering his left hand for her to take. "What's done is done. Now it's a matter of sorting it all out. Let's get this done."
