Profile

An irredeemable charismatic madman who has fashioned himself a criminal kingpin. His history is an enigma, with conflicting evidence on all sides making it impossible to discern the truth of what created this thing. What is known comes from the rapsheet on file with the GCPD.

Dozens of homicides vehicular and otherwise, biological and economic terrorism, extortion, jaywalking, racketeering, home invasion, kidnapping, mail fraud, the list is longer then the Gotham City Phonebook. All that discounting the efforts taken on his behalf by others.

Through it all he's managed to acquire a vast following willing to die for him and his deranged plans. He's a madman who can only be stopped by being put down, but thus far he's never stayed down for long.

Smiling, Damn'd Villain!

The Clown Prince of Crime towers over much of the world around him. The man is a tightly muscled 6'5", and he has a tendency to loom over the world around him. His presence has a habit of filling a room...like poison gas or something. His skin is alabaster and smooth, and no, that is not make-up. His smile is wide, but unscarred. His teeth are straight and perfectly white, his lips a ruby red that curve out at the ends to enhance that killer grin of his. When he frowns it is all even more pronounced. His eyes are wide and green, matching his hair. His hair is often slicked back, but is sometimes disheveled and shaggy. Either way, the green works well with the other stark and bright colors...making him handsome and intense, even while being terrifying to most.

The man is fit as a fiddle, with a firmly muscled, though slender body. He tends towards rather nice clothes, though they are pretty...Jokerish. Purple suits with green vests and yellow shirts. A purple ribbon-tie. Purple gloves. He is often sporting a Joker Head cane, as well. It's a killer outfit, really.

History

Before his change, the Joker was a dangerous and feared mobster, who was the underboss for a major boss in Gotham City. He was betrayed and transformed during a job gone wrong.

Before his change, the Joker was a father-to-be and chemist turned failed comedian. He was roped into criminal activity due to desperation, and lost everything during One Bad Day.

Before his change, the Joker was a teacher, who inspired his students and absolutely believed the best in people. His transformation broke everything.

Before his change, the Joker was the scion of a small, wealthy old-money New England family, with hopes of one day going into the medical field and really helping people.

Who was the Joker before his Change...really?

It does not matter. Nobody knows. He isn't telling, even if he DOES remember. Sometimes he isn't so sure.

But he surely doesn't care.

All that matters is who the Joker is now. And what he is now...is trouble.

Over the last decade or so, the Joker has been a menace to Gotham, and to the world. With his wild, insane crimes and activities, people have been hurt and people have died, but he is far from some random, vicious serial killer. He is not a wannabe Hannibal Lecter. He is the Clown Prince of Crime.

The Joker is nobody but the Joker.

Personality

The Joker is chaos, but he is not randomness. He will not shoot a woman on the street because he is bored. However, he might go through the Gotham phone book and kill everyone whos name is an anagram for something. He is all about the show, and the thrill, and the smile. He is obsession and violence, but he is not some droll monster. He will not cut his own face off and make his girlfriend wear it. He will, however, place poison gas bombs around the city and match it with an eleborate puzzle to distract a hero while he is stealing the top hat that once belonged to Barnum. Style, man.

FIT
He is not superman, but the Joker is in excellent shape. He has fast reflexes, and is stronger than he looks. He won't be throwing a car at anyone, but he can take it and dish it out like nobody's business.

GENIUS
Many might not realize it, but the Joker is a genius. He can put together pieces of a situation with ease, and can solve puzzles that would confuse many others. He picks up new subjects swiftly, as well. A man like him with such a keen mind is a bad, bad thing.

SURVIVOR
He has been shot, stabbed, kicked out of a plane, pushed off a boat and many, many other things. The Joker is like the cat. He always, always comes back. Somehow, even if by the skin of his teeth and after lying in some obscure hospital bed for a few days, he returns. Even if his body is seen, it could be a double, or he might be using squibs, or

CHARISMA
This is both his ability to inspire, and to terrify. There is something incredibly charismatic about him, but there is something strangely compelling about Charles Manson, too. He has the ability to wrap people around his finger, and can convince henchman to throw their lives away for him in various schemes. He can also make people incredibly afraid with some well-chosen words and a glance. Also, he is one hell of a convincing liar.

COMBAT
He cannot stand up against someone like Batman in a toe-to-toe fight for too long, but he can put up a great fight for awhile. He has a tendency to shrug off pain that would drop many others, mostly due to sheer insanity and determination. He is skilled with fists, knives, and guns.

CRIME
He can crack a safe, pick a pocket, and sneak. He is a skilled thief and criminal, though he is no master car burglar. He can handle simple to slightly advanced criminal activities, but when he needs something really masterful done he tends to look towards a master.

MANIPULATION
Combined with his charisma, this makes Joker dangerous. Well, more dangerous. He is able to really get inside a persons head and break them down. He can manipulate and control and twist a person to his ends.

SCIENCE
He might have been a scientist before his incident, but who knows? Either way, he knows science. He is no Tony Stark, but he knows things. His primary focus is on chemistry and related fields, and he is very skilled at making various deadly or at least dangerous concoctions. See 'Joker Venom'. He is also decent at making gadgets, like boxing glove guns, gun-ties, or whatever else.

EQUIPMENT
He has all kinds of equipment, some of which he made himself. He has various pistols, shotguns and rifles, of course, along with a nice collection of blades. He also has joy buzzers capable of frying a person, acid flowers that can melt through steel, guns that fire BANG flags, and more. He has an insane arsenal, and is always adding fun new toys to it!

HIDEOUTS
There's abandoned factories, the old fairgrounds, an abandoned theater, a hideout in the sewers, a hideaway on an island off the coast...

Joker has hideouts, and he rotates which he is using based on his current objective, or whim. Each is outfitted with defenses, arsenals of equipment, and minions, usually.

JOKER GANG
He tends to have a revolving door of Henchmen. Most are basic mooks who are trounced with ease and handle very simple and basic crime. However, there is a group of dedicated, more skilled minions, known as the Joker Gang, or the Jokerz. They tend to be stronger, faster, and more skilled in their various specialties.

REPUTATION
People know the Joker. His name brings a lot of weight with it. A henchman can mention they are working for him, and doors in this country (And a few others) open. Mainly, this is due to fear, of course.

CHAOS
He is chaos, and this can be trouble. It means people have a hard time guessing what he will do next, but it also means he has issues doing things that make sense, sometimes. Rationality is out the window. If a crime, even if perfect, isn't 'funny' or 'interesting', he'll drop it or refuse to do it. This means he has had chances to kill his major enemies in the past but did not..or has put himself at grave risk.

OBSESSION
Joker has a tendency to become fixated on things. Batman is a good example, others can be included in this. If he is one-upped or similar, he can often become obsessed with them or it, and keep trying new things to get it done, regardless.

REPUTATION
People know the Joker. His name brings a lot of weight with it. People fear him...and this isn't always to his benefit. Even other villains have a tendency to not want to make deals with him, due to being worried about his...random nature.
