|Profile=Lorna's largely remained on the sidelines of the X-Men's struggles, serving as a reserve member off and on while trying - and often failing - to pursue something like a normal life. With her one-time classmates facing greater perils and more impossible odds than ever before, however, the once gentle and introverted Ms. Dane has recommitted herself to standing alongside them as the fierce Mistress of Magnetism, Polaris.
|Profile=Lorna has been an on again off again a member of the X-Men. Often a reserve member, she balances between the two competing ideals of her father, Magneto and Xavier's school of learning. She has tried to find her peace by following her own path as Polaris, The Mistress of Magnetism, doing what she believes is right, no matter what.
|Description=This woman is taller than average at 5'6" though not by much. Her long deep green hair and eyes are what really set her apart from the crowd. Her locks hang down past her shoulder blades in forest green waves. When she isn't in the field she dresses in a white button up linen blouse tucked over nice fitting, dark jeans with a blazer. The when her jacket is off the sleeves of the shirt often rolled up around her elbows. On her feet, sensible black heels give her a little extra height.
|Description=A tall, statuesque woman at about 5'7, Lorna stands even taller typically in a pair of heels, boots, or otherwise, if she's not already floating upon magnetic currents. Her long green hair tumbles around her shoulders in waves or curls, most often swept by her powers back and away from her features. Typically, she wears a mixture of expensive blazers and slacks, or on the opposite direction a pair of ripped up jeans and a t-shirt.. depending entirely on her mood.  
|History=Lorna was adopted by relatives at an early age, after her parents were killed in a plane crash of Lorna's doing. Believing her too young for such power, Magneto had her memories wiped and those powers locked away. Due to her naturally unnatural hair colour, her foster parents insisted that she keep it dyed brown throughout her childhood and early adolescence, to help her fit in. A few weeks before her 15th birthday, Mister Sinister managed to track the young Lorna down and awakened her powers. The villain wanted to control the young mutant daughter of Magneto before the X-Men rescued her. A contingent from the Xavier Institute visited her foster parents and offered to train Lorna in the proper use of her powers, they were more than happy to let she and the strange electromagnetic phenomena that had come to follow in her wake go. Lorna studied and trained at the Institute for a couple years before leaving for college. Her first attempt at living a normal life as again put at risk by enemies of the X-Men. Afraid, and not ready to join in the fight Lorna fled to Genosha. She remained their, continuing to train and slowly coming to the truth that Magneto is her true father. Continuing her education, and training in the powers she shares with her father, Polaris could not put to quiet her discomfort living in Magneto's house. Visiting NYC she was drawn into an anti-mutant mob and targeted for the sins of her father. There she reunited with her former classmates and other heroes, she left Genosha for the first time in years and focused her efforts to be a positive representative of her home and join the X-Men.

|Personality=Depression occurs in cycles. During her low moments, Lorna will hide away from the hustle of the school. She will seek out nature where she'll sit in silence and read the magnetic field of the earth. On her good days, Lorna will greet you with a smile. She'll talk, laugh, flirt, tease. She'll hide her true emotions or feelings behind sarcasm. She tends to have a wit about her, bordering sass.Despite her quiet demeanor, she will berate a person when it's needed. She is very focused on the task at hand and does not allow for behavior that will potentially ruin a mission. She has a strong mind and will take control over a situation. However, she recognizes authority and knows her place.
When she is actively going into conflict, or aware that she might face trouble, a quick manipulation of metal and fibers allow her to create her unique green armored look. All of which is complete with a matching headpiece that sometimes shadows her features, but more or less helps to keep her hair out of her face.

|Personality= Lorna is a woman of extremes. Extreme highs and lows, just as the magnetic fields move, so do her moods. There are days, sometimes weeks at a time, when she will obsess over details and plan and create anything and everything that comes to mind in sleepless fits of energy. This is often followed by low days, when she can't bring herself to do more than meditate or lose herself away in reading various books. She is quick to temper, and even quicker to forgive, but her trust is hard to earn and is easier to lose.

Lorna is most of all proud of who she is and wouldn't give up her powers or being a mutant for anything. She is after all, her father's daughter.
