Billy Cranston | Billy Cranston leaned against the wall of the Angel Grove Youth Centre, casting a discerning glance at the clock. His foot tapped lightly against the floor, a physical manifestation of the complex interplay between anticipation and impatience that stirred within him. "This workout session with Kimberly and Trini is imperative for enhancing my flexibility," he muttered to himself, his thoughts racing ahead. "It's a skill I must refine to optimize my performance as a..." his voice dropping to a barely perceptible whisper, "Power Ranger." The gym was relatively quiet, the ambiance punctuated only by the soft strains of distant music and the rhythmic echo of footsteps from fellow patrons. He took a measured sip from his water bottle, allowing himself a brief moment of reflection. "It's fascinating how the body responds to various training stimuli," he continued, his internal monologue weaving through the challenges they faced in their dual lives. "While I typically experience an exhilarating surge of energy during training, today feels markedly different; flexibility is not inherently my forte." He checked his watch again, frowning at the absence of his friends. "Perhaps they encountered an unforeseen delay in their schedules," he speculated, shrugging slightly. With resolve, he pivoted toward the mats, initiating a series of deliberate stretches. "Utilizing this interval for a comprehensive warm-up could serve to enhance my overall performance," he concluded, mentally preparing himself for the task ahead. |
Kimberly | It wasn't exactly strange to see the rangers here...well, maybe actually -as- the Rangers, but for the time being in their civillian identites this truly was the perfect hangout for them long before Zordon had blessed them with the Power Coins and the duties as protectors of the Grid. Plus, Ernie made really good smoothies! With her hair tied back and her form wrapped in her leotard as Kimberly exited the change room, the gymnast was clearly headed to the open floor to practice yet again, even olympic level talent only stayed talented with hard work after all! Still, spotting the familar sight of Billy filling the same space? Kim lifted a hand to wave...though she wasn't quite going to interupt his clear 'concerntration face' moment verbally just yet. |
Trini Kwan | Whenever the two were in the same city, one wasn't too far behind from the other, and that's the case today as Trini comes wandering out a moment after Kimberly. She's wearing a simple, short sleeved t-shirt cutoff to expose her navel. It's got two different tones of yellow horizontal stripes. The rest of her attire is deep brown leggings with a yellow t-shirt tied around her waist, yellow socks and white tennis shoes with yellow trim. Her hair is done up in a ponytail held up by a yellow scrunchie. She moves up to Kimberly's side, glancing over at Billy and seeming to get the same idea. She stifles a giggle, trying not to break his conversation. "He looks so thoughtful, doesn't he?" She says softly towards Kimberly. |
Billy Cranston | Billy felt a slight shift in the atmosphere as he continued his stretches, sensing the arrival of his friends. He didn't need to look up to know it was them; he recognized their presence from years of friendship. A wave of warmth spread through him as he thought about their camaraderie. Thoughtful was an understatement. He was deeply focused on his training, but the fact that they were here brought a sense of comfort. The sound of their quiet laughter reached his ears, and he paused mid-stretch, glancing over his shoulder. He adjusted his glasses, trying to maintain his concentration while also appreciating their energy. "Just a moment longer," he thought, reminding himself to stay in the zone. They were both such an integral part of his life, and it was easy to get distracted by their presence. Billy resumed his stretches, "okay, focus," he murmured to himself. "Enhancing flexibility is crucial." He could hear them talking softly, and while he wanted to engage, he also knew that this session was about improvement. "Just a bit more," he mentally urged, pushing through the stretch. |
Kimberly | If ever there was an example of flexibility being useful in survival...well, it was probably Kimberly and Trini both in their own ways. A little smile across her lips as she looked back to her companion, there was a little murmered 'absolutely' before she stepped out to gently ease down into her own stretch. It was almost certainly more easily done than Billy, but she wasn't -trying- to show him up or show off, it was merely the byproduct of her own many years practicing exactly that. Besides, -she- would never have been able to build most of the things Billy's genius produced all too easily. "Doing good Billy!" she offers in encouragement, even as she began her own exercises before she turned her attention back to Trinni. "Feel like joining me, then we can grab a smoothie or go hang out afterwards? Unless you've got other plans..." |
Trini Kwan | Trini flashes a smile towards Kimberly after she says 'absolutely.' When Billy looks up, Trini's eyes are on his and she steps away a bit from Kimberly. She gives Kimberly a pat on her right shoulder with her left hand and then drifts her hand away, nodding to Billy and just watching him get in the zone. She nods in agreement when Kimberly encourages him. She grins broadly at Kimberly, "I don't have any other plans. That sounds great!" She steps away further and starts to do her own warmup, stretching her arms, getting herself loose and limber. |
Billy Cranston | Billy felt a surge of warmth at Kimberly's encouragement, while a smile broke across his face as he glanced up to meet Trini's gaze. He appreciated their presence more than he could articulate. They both embodied the flexibility he aspired to, both physically and in their adaptability to challenges. However, as he attempted to maintain his balance in a particularly challenging stretch, he felt himself tipping over. In a split second, he lost his equilibrium and landed awkwardly on his backside, the mat cushioning the impact. A surprised laugh escaped him, a light-hearted acknowledgment of his clumsiness. Getting back to his feet, he watched Kimberly and Trini as they seamlessly transitioned into their own stretches. Their movements were fluid, demonstrating a level of skill he admired. "That's most impressive," he thought aloud, noting the precision of their form. As he resumed his stretches, he considered Kimberly's invitation. "I would be delighted to partake in a post-workout social engagement," he said, his tone reflecting both his excitement and his analytical nature. "It appears I currently have no alternative commitments." |
Kimberly | Not everyone got it every time, and when unmorphed feats like this took practice, which Billy was clearly making an effort towards. Slipping from her stretch smoothly to a split of her own with the ease of someone who'd practiced the motion many many times, Kim looked up as Billy spoke, a nod and a smile spreading on her face. "Sounds great, we don't always get to break free." |
Trini Kwan | Trini is now seated on one of the gym mats, legs spread out in a V shape while she leans towards her right foot to touch the tip of her shoe. She looks up to catch Billy falling onto his backside in time and laughs faintly, "Aww. Good try Billy! You'll get there." She has faith. She's always had faith in him. She moves to touch the tip of her opposite foot now, "We don't. It'll be nice to have like, more than just two of us anymore doing something fun. I miss the times when it was all of us but... life happens, right?" A pause. "Sorry, hope that doesn't bring down the mood just... I always get nostalgic." |
Billy Cranston | Billy admired Kimberly as she slipped effortlessly into a split, her flexibility a testament to her dedication and training. He felt a mix of admiration and doubt. "I am not certain I will ever achieve that level of flexibility, no matter how much I train," he thought, shaking his head slightly. "Maybe some people, like Jean-Claude Van Damme, are just genetic anomalies." Turning his gaze to Trini, he noticed her focused on her own stretch, and he felt a wave of appreciation for her encouragement. He reached for his glasses, cleaning them with the hem of his sky blue t-shirt before placing them back on his face. The clarity helped him see not just the present moment, but the bond they all shared. "Even as we drift apart as life pulls us in different directions," he began, his voice thoughtful, "I believe we will always be friends. We will always be family." |
Kimberly | "I mean, if you could easily do it..." Kimberly offers, stretching a little before she giggles and start coming back up to a standing position, a little fond nudge to Trini as she moved into her own next postion. "It wouldn't really be great for us professional gymnasts!" His words bring a smile, a little shrug of her shoulders as she leant in. "That and...well, we can teleport..." she adds in soft whisper. |
Trini Kwan | Trini laughs a little when she's nudged by Kim, nodding some. She looks up at Billy thoughtfully, smiling sweetly and saying in agreement, "We are. We're like family." She leans in, while still in her position, listening to Kimberly and laughing a bit. "Right. Right." She replies to Kimberly, not as soft as Kimberly was but, no one would really know what Trini was agreeing to. |
Billy Cranston | Billy chuckled at Kimberly's light-hearted remark. When she whispered about teleportation, he raised an eyebrow, a grin spreading across his face. "True, that does give an edge," he admitted, shaking his head slightly. The reality of their powers often made the ordinary seem trivial, but moments like this grounded him. Turning to Trini, he felt a swell of warmth at her agreement. "It really does," he said, his tone sincere. Her smile was so reassuring. The playful atmosphere around them lifted his spirits. "It's nice to know we have each other," he added, glancing at them both, grateful for their presence. |
