Alice Thursday. The streets of Bushwick are populated as ever with the hodge-podge of Mutants and their human friends. The weather above is overcast, the smell of rain is in the air.

Some have put up a few booths, selling streetfood, T-shirts and chattering with the others. Talking to a green skinned guy in greasy coveralls, Alice is at the edge of that little, short notice festivity because it's just thursday.
Rogue Last time Rogue had been out and about? Well, it had ended up a little dramatic thanks to a hunting party that so happened to find themselves going to the same pizza place as the X-men. Hopefully today? Well, not quite so eventful. Well, a girl could dream.

Wrapped in her larger outer leather jacket over her simple dark green spaggetti-strapped tank top, a skirt and perhaps most important of all: a pair of dark leggings that left her looking how she might like without actually exposing any skin someone could actually touch.

Moving her way towards the stalls, it seemed the southern belle was just...well, having a day out for herself.
Alice As Alice finally ends her talk to the guy, she gives him a short hug before slipping to the stalls, waving with a "see you dad". Yep, sometimes things run in the family, but Alice for sure didn't get her red hair from him.

There's grilled food among the salls, and drinks, but as the redhead's eyes fall on the white-streaked one, she becomes the target of a fast walking before a sudden poke in the back follows. "Long time no see, teach."
Rogue Well enough known amongst mutants, the X-men and well...plenty of others, Rogue was used to the odd person recognising her. Still, she looks up as she's addressed from the stall she was leaning over, pondering the knicknacks and artisinal jams, a smile coming to her lips as she looked up. "Hey there!" she offers, a little dismissive wave at the nickname. "Don't go callin' me that. You'll make me feel all old and serious!"
Alice "You are a teach though. At least that's what's on your door up in the institute." Alice chuckles a moment, sending a little glance to Rogue's hands to see if she had gloves on like almost always, but she wouldn't offer a hand if she didn't.

"And if anything, the shorty has all the old grumpy serious booked till the end of time. You'll always be looking good. So what brings you down from there? Just spending time?"
Rogue "Wish i could say it was some field trip...but then, I'm really just taking some time to explore and see if I can find something I like. Hell, last time I ended up finding a pair of boots an' a decent meal. One of the stalls down further sells these strawberries..." she begins before trailing off, shrugging a shoulder.

Of course Rogue had her gloves on, ever cautious of covering herself as she spoke.

"What brings you out here?"
Alice A vague gesture to the south, then around. "Well, I work there and live here and got family here. So I should be here if I am not dragged through the world to make Miss Frost's clothes." A little chuckle ends her sentence, then she shrugs.

"So true, you always find something nice in this improv market. Though since they are not arranged long term... you know, no market right and all. But they are as quick to set up as tear down."
Rogue "So wanderin' into your neighbourhood?" Rogue muses lightly, tilting her head to the side before looking back to the other girl. "Makes sense. After all, all of us is really the proof positive that the strange 'n unexpected can be amazin'." Clearly amused, the young woman makes a sweeping gesture with her hand. "Well, you're out and aboat, feel like showin' me around a little?"
Alice "Oh, now you need a tour guide? Well well!" Alice mocks a moment, but then offers a little headnod to the side, indicating to move that way. "What're you up to look for anyway? Cool clothes? I think Chester has some stuff that you might like across the corner. Or you rather look for something to eat?"
Rogue "I would settle for somethin' sweet an all, but if you've got something y'think I should see? I'm up for it." she offers before falling into step beside Alice. "Truth be told, just gettin' out for a bit without it being 'work' is nice enough."
Alice Alice laughing in return, Alice marches her impossible boots towards the corner, pointing to some knicknacks on the way. Boots without straps, zipper or lace, but up over the knee and tight.

"So something sweet? Like a Babydoll?" There's a little rub in it. "Though I wonder if you ever tested Saran wrap."
Rogue "Actually...I meant something to snack on," Rogue laughs, the idea of the clothing bringing a little roll of her eyes. "Y'know, I'm sure at least one person has suggested it to me. But given I can tear through steel, don't wanna risk someone's health dressin' up like someone's lunch."
Alice "Could go for all shiny PVC or Latex too. Might get rather sticky though. So, more like marmelade, hm?" Alice chatters as she points to Chester's table, an assortment of clothes gathered there. "Look here first, and then we hunt some snack for you."
Rogue "Y'know, some of the costumes I've had might be close but..." Rogue laughs softly, tilting her head to the side. "Y'think someone like Remy wouldn't have their brain break if I started walking around in PVC or latex all the time?" Another shake of her head at the thought, she moves to lazily follow Alice towards the clothing racks.
Alice "Aren't those from these psudo plastic unstable molecules? I was thinking actual polymers." Alice remarks, chuckling a little at the suggestion that such clothes would break Remy's head. "How come he hasn't broken with Miss Frost around then? She wears that stuff at times. Anyway... let's see... How you like this?"

Grabbing into the rack for a jacket, probably two or three sizes too large, but from heavy duty cloth with tons of pins. Probably some punk's old jacket, but it got some style.
