Owner Pose
Lucifer The night is in full swing at Lux in the peak hour of everyone settling in and watching performances, dancing to the music being spun from the DJ or just sitting and having a lovely chat with friends - or perhaps even strangers. Lucifer is in his usual perch, nothing having brought his attention this evening, and with Nathaniel off on business for a little while he's likely going to continue to stand there sipping on his whiskey and watching the club from afar. Eventually he'll wander upstairs but likely only long enough to do some tidying up before he'll contemplate eyelids a while and then get back up to do it all over again.
Nick Drago It does seem like a normal evening at the Lux. And for most attendees, it likely is. But as for Nick. Well- what is normal?

He had been planning to call it an early night. Earlier Nick had cut through the club and went directly to his room. But he had hit a bit of a snag.

Now, Nick finds himself retreating back downstairs to the club to get himself a drink.
Lucifer Lucifer is just about ready to perhaps go and mingle with some random people when he spots Nick coming from the hotel area towards the bar for a drink. At least a familiar face will be easier to talk to. Not that he has issues talking with complete strangers but after the few days he's had, things had been a bit....taxing.

So he moves himself through the crowd until he's behind the bar and standing in front of Nick, offering the rock star a kind smile. "Your usual?" Asking this calmly as he grabs a glass in anticipation of the answer being yes.
Nick Drago Sitting at the bar has a few good merits to it. It's not far from where the drinks are poured. You never need reservations to sit there, and it does make for an easier time to strike up conversation with people you may not have entered in with.

At least one of those reasons doesn't apply to why Nick gravitates over there but gravitate he does. The familiar voice causes for him to glance up to the bar owner's face, returning the smile in kind. "That it will be." He confirms. "I'll probably keep it to just the one." He adds in, which should not be too much of a surprise. One and two tend to be the most common quantities of pours Nick will do from within the confines of the Lux. But the declaration, might be more for himself.
Lucifer "Sure thing." Lucifer offers, pouring the beer he knows Nick prefers and then sets it on the bar in front of the other man. He watches Nick for a moment, but then something catches him and he gives a tilt of his head. "Everything alright?" He's not going to give away too much too quickly, of course. Letting Nick set the pace if the man even wants to talk about anything. Lucifer could even be missing something and Nick simply wants a nightcap before tucking in completely,
Nick Drago Nick looks to the freshly poured glass and leaves it untouched for a few moments. Giving the drink proper time to settle.

The smile that was on his face earlier settles more into a neutral expression. Did he remember to turn the tv back on for Mille? Hmm.

Pale eyes blink as Lucifer follows up with another question, which honestly would be a common one in a bartender arsenal. "Ah. Things are okay. Just- had a visitor who opted to make an entrance that kind of delayed my plans for the evening."
Lucifer "Mmn..." That sort of solidifies Lucifer's thoughts, but he doesn't want to alarm Nick in anyway. Still, the lad knows Lucifer has a knack for certain senses, and being that they've both met the Hellspawn. Well. It's in the name, isn't it?

"Let me guess. About seven foot tall, no face, calls himself Spawn?" This is asked as Lucifer pours himself a whiskey - it's his bar after all - and sups upon it a moment while giving Nick a sort of watchful eye. The real question is why would Spawn come here, again, and why would he introduce himself to Nick?
Nick Drago As Lucifer describes the visitor, Nick's brow lifts. "Are you sure that was just a guess?" Nick questions. He doesn't wait for an answer before confirming with a nod. "Yes. Although I'm guessing that's more a title or descriptor than an actual name."

The glass is lifted and Nick takes a sip before setting it back down. "I probably should ask his actual name next time I see him. I could imagine it would get tiring being called Spawn all the time."
Lucifer "Nope. Not a guess. I could smell him on you when I got here. I thought maybe I was just feeling a lingering of his presence from the day before but now I guess what I was feeling was his presence tonight." Lucifer offers. "He chased someone in the other night. Took me everything I had to get him to NOT cause any violence in the club and then when he was convinced who I was, we had a little...chat." Which is really the only thing Lucifer is going to say.

For now.

"Did he willingly visit you or... get the wrong room? Also I doubt that's his real name, but I don't know if he even remembers his real name given his current...circumstance. Which I don't know how much of it you know and I'm not sure I should delve into it without his...permission."
Nick Drago Hearing the description of Spawn coming into the club earlier causes for Nick to nod. "...Sounds about right.- Well. This time around he was seeking me out. Or- he saw me and followed. Not sure on the before. Just the part after he came through the door."
Lucifer Lucifer gives a blink and then raises a brow. "He...followed you?" Setting his whiskey glass down, there's a moment where he raps his fingers on the bartop a couple times before inhaling a breath. "And, pray tell, did he ever tell you why he sought you out? Or followed you here? Do I need to begin trying to figure out an Anti-Spawn system for the club or something?" Course, that might hinder a few things on his end, but he'd get over it.
Nick Drago He can go invisible and through objects like I can. It wouldn't really be hard for him to do so." Nick replies, giving a shrug, "That or he can sense me. Easier to assume he spotted me and followed."

Nick glances to the drumming fingers. "...He's not AFTER after me if that's what you're concerned about. He just wanted to get caught up on events since the last time he was around. More to do with the Slayers and their group than current events in general."

Nick pauses, "He kind of reminds me of Henri in a way."
Lucifer Lucifer gives another blink. "Caught up on events... wait..." He does some quick processing in his mind and then smirks. "Is this going to turn into another one of those I've met someone you already knew? So the world becomes just a little smaller for the both of us?" Asking this and then he shakes his head. "Spawn isn't quite convinced I am who I say I am but he's also trusting that I am and wants me to gather a bit of information for him. In return, I get...well the way he phrased it was...access to his powers. So I guess he'll do me a solid if I ever need it." There's another pause and then he lifts his whiskey for another sip. "How do you know him?"
Nick Drago Nick chuckles slightly. "Well, 'know' is a strong word. More met over at another club. When he tracked down one of the slayers when they were going through a bit of a body swap problem with a vampire."

That probably is another story entirely.

"That was years ago. But...after a bit of talking he's considered an ally to that group. I'm actually surprised he remembered me. Being I'm not a core member and all. I ended up sending him over to Thomas's club to get more information on what the group's been up to since I'm more of a...part time ally."
Lucifer That just causes Lucifer to let out a laugh. "Wait wait. So Thomas actually -likes- talking to him? That you're aware of? What does the demon in his head not mind the Hellspawn but can't be arsed to behave when I'm around?" He shakes his head then. "That's fucking rich..." Still, this means that Spawn might frequent Lux a little more than he likely intended before which means Lucifer is going to need to make absolutely sure that the man behaves while he's here.

"Well. I'm glad he came because he...recognized you...and not because he was... tailing you like he does every other rando on the street it seems. Not that you're some dangerous drug lord or anything...but that's what he chased in here the other night intent to kill. Or feed from or....whatever it is he does to those he believes warrants such..."
Nick Drago "Well, I don't know if I can say that Thomas LIKES talking to him." Nick amends, "But, if Spawn's seeking to be caught up on the problems the slayers are dealing with now, he'll probably fill him in on the most notable things. It'd be in in his interests to have Spawn on their side."

A finger taps on the side of the beer glass as he considers what else Lucifer implied. "Very much like Henri..." He decides.
Lucifer Lucifer scoffs gently and then gives a shrug of his shoulders. "Seems to make sense." Offering this as he finishes his whiskey. "As long as you're safe. That's what is important to me..." Offering this much before he lights up a cigarette. Course the smoke goes straight up and never lingers. He's tricky like that.

"So, aside from random visits by hellspawn, things are going well? Do you have much on your calendar for the next little bit?"
Nick Drago Nick smile strengthens a bit to the low key display of concern. "Aside from the hellspawn visits and Millie picking up an interest in dramas, things are doing alright. The project hasn't quite cemented the role I'm getting but they narrowed it down to two. But it'll depend on who else they get cast before they know for sure which. Either way it's enough for them to arrange for fencing lessons."

There's another sip of the beer. "And...the new album's a bit overdue. But once that's released, I might be touring with a certain group you've met as they promote their album as well. Stage rusher or not..."
Lucifer Lucifer nods. "Fencing lessons? Oh that should be interesting. If you'd ever like a partner to practice with.." He lays out the offer, just to have it there. "I'm glad you're getting some worked lined up. Though if you disappear while Nathaniel is off on his secret business trip, I will be one lonely Devil to say the least." He chuckles at that, taking another drag off his cigarette.

"Oh that would be interesting. Stage rushers aside, I wonder if I could get the band booked here for a night. Not the most popular of venues... but I think they'd draw a decent crowd. And, of course, security will be a bit...tighter...now that we know what to look for. And possibly expect."
Nick Drago "I'm sure if we asked, Nathaniel could track down those foam swords again." Nick replies, smile turning to a full out grin, "That was fun."

He tilts his head to the comment about being lonely. "Well. touring's not happening right this minute but- when it does, I'll make sure that you and Nathaniel are on the list for backstage access. As for the other project. Well They first have to finish casting the thing. Then there's the fittings, the rehearsals...Well-it'll be some time before I have to travel for any filming for that."

The mention of possibly booking Five Times again gets a nod. "...If the offer's enticing enough, I'm sure William would be willing to consider. It's not often they get to play the more intimate venues and judging from the smile I caught on William's face, I think yours met his approval."
Lucifer Lucifer gives a grin. "Who's to say we didn't just pack those swords up into a closet just in case they were ever needed again?" Asking that as he finishes his cigarette, the butt bursting into nothingness a short moment later.

"Ah. Well that's good. Nathaniel said he'd be gone for about two weeks...maybe coming back for a short spurt...but mostly unavailable." The Devil explains. "So it'll be a lot of lonely evenings for me...which is fine..." He surmises it will be. Club's open enough he's likely got some elbows he can rub for a little while. It's just being upstairs, alone, after so long living with someone. It can be...weird.

"Ah. Yes. I should talk to William about that... when the time comes of course. Would definitely love to have them here again. And not just for some sponsorship fundraiser thing..." Offering this much with a smile. "I am glad it seems he approved. Especially after that small security debacle. But everyone seemed to be understanding that it happened and was taken care of properly."
Nick Drago Nick pauses, "I think Nathaniel said that the last batch was borrowed by someone from housekeeping so I assume you returned those. Buuuut. If you somehow had built up your own arsenal of foam swords for future use.... I wouldn't mind one bit."

When Lucifer mentions the duration Sin will be away, Nick nods. "Well...it just so happens that Millie seems to have taken to this channel that plays nothing but drama shows on it. And I do believe it tends to do marathons So...there might be need for me to crash on your sofa from time to time while she watches..."

How Convenient.
Lucifer "Okay this is like the second or third time you've mentioned the name Millie. Who's Millie? Should I know that name?" Lucifer asks this with a look of complete confusion on his face. "I mean you know you're free to come crash on the couch whenever you want... I just figure the hotel bed is a bit more comfortable." Offering this much as he pours another whiskey for himself. "I'm going to put in an order from the kitchen, you want anything?" Asking to at least offer before he turns to begin typing in the POS system to send an order back.
Nick Drago Nick's smile falters a bit before he reaches for his beer, taking a slightly longer draw of it this time before setting the glass down.

"Millie is what I named the mirror." Nick admits. "Seems to like the name, so...Millie it is."

There's a pause as he considers the food offer. Food might help with adding to the sleepiness...which is what he was trying for. "Maybe some fries?" He asks.
Lucifer "Fries it is..." Lucifer adds that to the order and then sends it to the kitchen. He's working backwards from what he was told and turns after a moment. "You know what. If it pleases the mirror and the mirror is still working out for you...then why try to fix what's not broken yeah?" In other words, do what you want with the mirror, Nick. So long as it stays out of his Penthouse.

"And just to go back on a subject real quick if you ever feel the need for a foam sword fight, just let me know and come upstairs. We'll make it happen one way or another..."
Nick Drago Nick nods, "It's a bit of trial and error figuring things out but from the general response, Millie seemed to prefer being a she. And of the names given that was the one it reacted the most positively to. Also, I'm guessing one reason for Millie acting up earlier may have also been from boredom. Not much entertainment in storage, probably."

He taps the side of the glass. "...I guess regardless of form, if something is aware enough it would much rather be called by a name than by a random noun."

The offer of the sword fight gets a nod. "Maybe that's how we can pass the time on the next high end mac and cheese night."
Lucifer Lucifer nods his head. "That actually makes sense. And honestly I feel like I owe a bit of thanks to Millie considering whatever she did helped Nathaniel get his wings back proper. Even if he's still working on getting them up to par." This offered as a waitress swings by with an order of mozza sticks and fries with both marinara sauce and ketchup.

"Maybe we should have one of those high end mac and cheese nights soon. Though it might bring down some of the family - as you know... but if it's a certain few, I wouldn't mind." Of course he's referring to Raph and Azriel. The others can continue to stay away for a while longer. He still hasn't forgiven them for being the cause of Nathaniel's wing hacking.
Nick Drago Nick turns his head to give a nod of thanks to the waitress as the fries get slid between him and Lucifer. A hand reaches over to hold over the fries, determining the temp of the fries from the air above. Finding it needing to cool a bit longer, he moves his hand back.

"I'd like to see some of them again." Nick agrees. There's another pause, "Besides, maybe it's time to get their perspective on what Nathaniel found out."
Lucifer "Maybe. But that'd be something we should do together without Nathaniel. I don't think he'd like to see them anytime soon still unfortunately." They really did piss the man off, and that's not a smart thing to do in the long run. Lucifer - having no worry on the temprature of food - picks up a mozza stick and bites into it, letting the cheese pull go a moment before consuming the lot.

"So. Staying here for the night. Got any plans for tomorrow? Meetings or anything of that nature?"
Nick Drago Nick sighs before giving a nod. "...ok. But-I'm not sure avoiding them is going to improve the situation between them and Nathaniel. We all screw up at some point, right?"
Lucifer "It's definitely something I'll have to talk to Nathaniel about. What I don't want is any of them showing up without word or warning and Nathaniel being none the wiser. It's only going to make his current miff towards them grow..." Lucifer offers this and then shrugs. "But I think something like a mac and cheese night, bit of a peace offering, chance to discuss things... and again... I think the only one Nathaniel is really upset with is Uriel..."
Nick Drago Nick considers. "Yeah. If the likelihood of them stopping by during mac and cheese night is high. Then when we might as well extend the invite on purpose. Then the arrivals won't be a surprise."

He pauses, "...and if it's by invite we can probably control the seating to make it to where Uriel's not right beside Nathaniel or looking directly at him."

Nathaniel needs to face him at some point. But, there are still ways to baby step it.
Lucifer Lucifer nods. "Yeah. That all seems fair. So I'll talk to Nathaniel about it and then we'll maybe schedule something..." He says this much before pouring himself another whiskey and takes up a mozza stick to consume. "I mean it's great to plan something like this out, but it's only going to truly work if Nathaniel is on board with it you know..."

He seems to think on things a bit more and then shrugs. "Suppose that's all the business I can think of to discuss right now. Is there anything else on your mind?"
Nick Drago Nick reaches a hand out to test the temp of the fries. Finding them not to be too hot, he grabs one to take a bite, listening to Lucifer before giving a nod.

As the question is directed towards him, Nick chews a bit quicker and swallows what was in his mouth. "To be honest, before the jump scare I was planning to go to bed. "I think once I finish eating and drinking I should no longer be so wired...I can't think of anything right this moment."
Lucifer "Do you want me to fix you up a hot tea to take back to your room with you? Nothing funny about it. I promise. Just a nice cup of chammomile. Nathaniel swears by it...even though he doesn't have to sleep..." Lucifer offers this much, and it's likely the last thing he might offer before the two part ways regardless of him making the tea or not. Jump scares aside, of the three of them, Nick is the one who needs sleep the most.
Nick Drago Nick ponders the offer but briefly before he smiles. "Sure. But, after we finish eating. That way it'll still be hot."

And so- food is eaten. Beer and liquor is drunk, and the offered tea is partaken in.
