Piper Halliwell | Those darn premonitions. Of course, one of Phoebe's visions would take her away from Avalon Heights and to that of Metropolis. Dressed in a simple hoodie and jeans combo, Piper is wander through the streets of downtown, pursing her lips as she looks at her phone. "Who needs direction spells when you have Google Maps?" she beams, as she continues to turn, though it seems that she's been going around in circles for hours. Perhaps she's been caught up in something. |
Clark Kent | And it all happens so face. A sound similar to thunder. Something went crashing into a building before streaking away. The colors an odd shade of green that may barely register. Unfortunately that brings a good chunk of the building plummeting down. Perhaps there is just a thing called fate. That wall threatening to come down on Piper and thoose around them. So, quickly does the shadow of the thing swallow her. Everything should go from back to whatever waits on the other side. But other forces might have different plans. When Piper knows she should feel the weight of the world, somewhat literally, come down on her, there's almost nothing. What does come is a simple voice asking, "Are you okay, Miss Halliwell?" Holding the building up above everyone is Superman and he's looking at everyone for a moment. "Everyone! Run to safety," he says and once he sees everyone moving he'll push off the ground holding the chunk of the building. Looks like she might see what it looks like when Superman's handling a threat. |
Piper Halliwell | Instinctively, she raises her hands above her. Freeze! Freeze! That falling concrete is far too big and too heavy to go against the force of gravity to slow down sufficiently enough to freeze in place. Bracing herself, she cries out and closes her eyes, curling up into a little Piperball. That shadow looms over her, and when she hears the voice, she glances up and squints as there's Superman. "S-superman!!!! I... I'll be fine. Just be careful out there." she says, not knowing if her witchy powers would actually be of use in a scale like this. |
Clark Kent | Superman pushes off and takes to the skies. She'll see him carry the ubilding off only to set it aside in an occupied part of the street. Pushing off, the ground he's in the air again. Piper will see red and blue streak in the air. Streaks of red and blue follow streaks of green. Bright colors sprawl from didfferent points in the sky. At times it's a lime green. But whatever he's fighting has an energy that turns blue. They go off int he sky again and again. Before long both streak off again. It takes a good five minutes, but Piper will get a text from Clark. "There's a good coffee shop nearby if you need something to take your mind off of it," it says. Probably a good sign that whatever he fought is done. |
Piper Halliwell | Zip! Zoom! Woosh! A soft chuckle can be heard from her lips as the bright colors streak back and forth from the sky. That sudden green energy surprises her and she lets out a little yelp. Yes, she's being a Metropolis tourist, watching a Superman battle instead of running away like most regular folk. The sudden buzzing in her purse only catches her attention when there's no more streaks. She's waiting to see if something happened, and she looks at the text. Glancing about, she eventually finds the coffee shop and heads towards it while texting back. "Sure! Can I get you something?" |
Clark Kent | "Something like a Mocha," the text comes back and by the time she finds the spot at "The Grind." The name may be a little hoaky, but they know their stuff when it comes to coffee. They make their own blends and everything else. The place has a small selection of booths and some tables at various spots. More people grab something and go. And they do have sweets. By the time the order comes up, the door opens. Clark Kent is there wearing a dark suit, a blend between black, grey and blue. Somewhere in there. White pine stripes go down the suit. There's a matching vest. A purple-maroon tie rests against a white button up shirt. The usual sunglasses. However, there's an unusual piece to his attire. The left arm is in a sling. And how he's holding it, that's not all for show. "Hello, Piper," he waves with the good hand. "Sorry, had a very bad incident recently," there will be a buzz on her phone. It features a person called "The Atomic Skull" obviously, there's a skull for a head, surrounding by nuclear energy. He'll snag a quote from the website link. A small section that talks about how hot the Atomic Skull can guess, what they surmise. Piper may understand, the arm might not be broken, but it still got hurt. |
Piper Halliwell | Once she eventually makes it to the Grind, she takes in the ambiance of the hipster coffee spot. Looking around, she checks to see if Clark is already there, but alas, she's first, so naturally, she beelines to the barista. "One iced vanilla latte and an iced mocha, both grande." Not knowing how much caffeine he needs, she sticks with just a medium this time. When her name is called to get the order, she's turning around with drinks in hand when Clark comes in wearing the suit. She's clearly underdressed for the occasion and she beams brightly as he greets her. "Hey, here's your mocha!" she says, offering the drink before frowning at the way he holds his arm. "You sure you don't nneed to go to the doctor for maybe some stronger pain medicine?" she asks, clearly worried before she looks down at the notice of the Atomic Skull. "Do I need to go to the hospital?" Was she close enough to get radiation poisoning? |
Clark Kent | Clark takes the drink and smiles big. He gives a nod. "I'm fine," he says and it's clear he probably isn't. "You're fine," he says in case she's worried about getting close. Unless the Atomic Skull goes full nuclear, the radiation isn't a threat to others. However, he may have had a nice chemical shower before showing up. If Piper looks at his aura or anything near the arm, it hurts. Oh, it hurts, but he's trying to soldier on. |
Piper Halliwell | The wincing is enough to tell her he's in pain. Certainly Superman wouldn't wince at some minor injury. With a frown, she takes his good arm and tugs on it. "IF you don't want to go to a doctor, then at least let me whip you up something." She can slip in magical potions in food after all. "Maybe it'll take your mind off the pain." a beat. "I mean, someone -did- mention an apple pie." |
Clark Kent | "Fine! You just tell me when you're going to bring me to -your- office." Clark relents and he will raise the good arm in dfeat. He will relent to this. "And there's always room for apple pie," Clark grins flashing his pearly whites. "You win Piper," he relents and watches Piper's reaction to this. |
Piper Halliwell | Perhaps that other witch can wait. Whitelighters should be able to find their witches, right? And the premonition came true, it was just that she was the one who was going to get crushed by the building if it wasn't for the timely intervention of Superman. "You technically already went to my office." The interview. She gives him one of -those- looks as she motions, "Come on, let's go buy the ingredients for an apple pie first. I doubt you have granny smiths just on hand." |
Clark Kent | "You sure I'm not keeping you from something important?" Clark aks and brings the mocha to his lips. The familiar chocolately taste. A smile pulls at his lips. "Right. I wasn't sure if Doctor Piper had a different office," andthen he nods and stands up. "I do have the apples, but all the shortening, spices...that's the difficult to answer part." |
Piper Halliwell | "I mean, I think she can manage. I heard that she was found anyway.." And with that, she taps at her temple. Surely, there's some telepathic white lighter thing going on. "OKay, then we need to go grocery shopping first. What's the nearest place to your house? Let's go there." she says, motioning for him to lead the way. |
Clark Kent | Clark came back to the aprtment. He manages to keep it clean and tidy desipte changes happening. Although it's clear he does more than just simply visit. The place is clearly lived in. Although Piper can see why he keeeps the place, easy access to the outside world. "I've tried to learn how to cook," he says pointing to the kitchen with all the goodies. "The baking part feels slow to me," he admits sheepishly. |
Piper Halliwell | All the stuff for an apple pie was purchased, along with various herbs. Of course, there was that stop at the local flower shop, for only who knows why, but other plants were taken there too. Probably just a mixture of things needed for the pie. Naturally, she makes her way to the kitchen where she's most at home. "It's only slow because you have to measure everything." she says, as she starts putting flour and butter together to make a crust. Of course, she's doing it from scratch! |
Clark Kent | "Actually, it's the oven and waiting for that, start to finish." Clark speaks softly. "Sometimes it's hard to wait. Stillneess gets to me sometimes," he admits. Clark doesn't show why. What he will do is remove the black sling holding his arm. When it's free, she'll see a bunch of wrappings cover the arm. The left arm is covered in medical bandages and he winces a little bit. "Radiation can still burn me. Magic I'm susceptiable to. Remember when I took the first drink, I asked if there was real magic in it," Clark did for a moment. It was a joke, but he was a little afraid. |
Piper Halliwell | "Patience is a virtue." she says, glancing back at him as she sets aside the dough to rest. Now it's time to work on the filling, and she begins peeling some granny smiths with the vegetable peeler. "I would never roofie someone with magic." Though her sisters have, but that was for the good of the witching world! "Besides, I think the best potions are the ones that are just placebos." she quips, grinning in his direction before suddenly frowning at the medical bandages. "Okay, so you don't just need a pain reliever apple pie. You need actual healing magic..." she says, now squinting. |
Clark Kent | "Can you heal this?" Clark slowly undoes the wraps. Wincing a ltite bit he reveals a very long and slightly wide burn. It almost looks like someone tried to light him on fire and was successul for ten to thirty seconds. Even by wound standards, it's still ugly. "The placebos are smart. I respect the world of magic because I know I could effect me," and then he looks at Piper. "In my defense, I didn't know you too much then." "You've used placebo potions?" he asks softly with a curious brow raised as Clark wants to know how that worked. |
Piper Halliwell | "The Potion of Liquid Courage works more often than not." a beat. "And there's no such potion that actually exists, but this one time..." And she gets distracted, before looking at the wound once more and frowns for a few moments. "Lessee, I remember a healing spell from the Book of Shadows, but I don't know if your wound is minor enough for it. We can try at least. If you don't mind me trying?" she asks. |
Clark Kent | "I believe it," Clark sighs and just begins. "A lot of things were made to kill me. Atomic Skull, who I was fighting today. Things can hurt, but it takes a lot to do so." He looks out to the city, "I put him away and he might get back out. I hope, that maybe one day they'll turn a new leaf," Clark admits. "You have demons. I have a horde of things designed to hurt me, or worse," Clark chuckles ruefully. "Like I said, I know how you feel," his threats were less demony and more technology. "You can try. I know it's not pretty, but," he sighs out. Not wanting to adimt this next part, "You're probably more prepared against magic than me." That makes him feel vulnerable. He remembers the first time getting hit by magic. That surge of pain. Honest to goodness pain. It was borderline horrifying. |
Piper Halliwell | "I'm a witch, and I'm used to fighting demons, monsters, and other magic users. You're not, so don't feel too bad." It's one of the reasons why she's a Charmed One after all. Looking at the wound, she places her hands over them and starts thinking positive thoughts, vibes, and images a white light. She dated a white lighter and he taught her some healing magic, so hopefully this works. She softly chants... "With feather's touch, and earth's embrace, With water's flow, and fire's grace, This wound I mend, this body whole, Renewed by magic, body and soul. If it works, the wound will glow a bright white light, before mending. A warm soothing feeling will radiate from his arm to the rest of his body, removing all pain. It's an effective spell, if it works. |
Clark Kent | Clark just stills himself. "Well, it's still intimdating."Being at a disadvantage is still different for him. A warmth runs through Clark's wound and body. Everything starts to seal up and he asks, "Am I supposed to feel warm?" Clark giggles a little at the sensation. It's pleastant. Honestly, he thinks this is how a drink on a cold day feels. How everyone talks about it warming the body. |
Piper Halliwell | It's not unlike drinking a cup of hot cocoa on a cold winter's day. Or having a whiskey coat after a night of drinking. The sensation is pleasant and warming throughout the entire body. She remains quiet, not yet answering the question until the spell is finished "It should be. So, there, uh... how do you feel?" Piper asks. |
Clark Kent | "Good." Clark says softly. The man's opening and closing his hand. All of the muscles moving as he does the motion. "I feel good." Then he looks toward the kitchen unsure how much time had passed. "Where do I send the bill?" Clark asks flashing that smile. "And does my Health insurance cover this?"he's a little curious on that front. Sky blue eyes watch Piper. "You just healed your first alien. How do you feel?" Clark knows that's a strange thing to say. It's the truth, Piper did just heal an alien. |
