- Firestar has posed:
Angelica isn't too far from home. Sure she could have made coffee there, but instead she is taking a break...ish. She has a notebook open before her and she is sipping coffee while she thumbs through the notes, reading thoughtfully. A soft sigh and she rubs her eyes with her free hand.
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Back in a corner was a lady who, if she was in the light, would stick out like a sore thumb. As it is occasionally she gets a raised eyebrow as customers look over the coffee shop. Now, though, the lateness of the hour make her presence not quite so weird - it's heading towards the midnight hour, and by then she will fit in.
Mostly.
She still has an undetectable aura of power? Leave me alone? Beware? ..something.
Dark Willow has been nursing the same cup of coffee all night. Every now and the she heats it with her index finger, stirring it around.
Whereas Angelica rubbed her eyes because of her studying, Dark Willow has been contemplating something else. Ironically a book. Just not Physics.
- Firestar has posed:
Aneglica notices the woman of course, but one doesn't ignore the 'leave me alone' vibes lightly. Sure she is a capable hero, but nothing heroic about bothering someone that just wants to be left alone.
She looks over the place once again, just seeing who is and isn't around. She notes any new arrivals and then sips another coffee before reading again.
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
The Book was not able to reach her for now. Sure, it will break free of the ecotoplasm and will seduce Dark Willow once again. But for the first time in months she doesn't have the niggle in the back of her mind telling her all the wonderful things she would be able to do once she fully embraced the Book and opened the portal to Hell. The -BIG- portal. Some would say it will be the beginning of Armageddon. But the Book hushed her insecurities prior, telling her she would be the owner of the portal - of course everyone who had power either would try to stop her, or steal the Book.
And the Book didn't want that.
Finally it had the perfect mix of insecurity and power to do what it was meant to do. Or what the Book had warped itself over the thousands of years.
The Book sat on the table, looking innocent.
- Firestar has posed:
A stong mutant, but with no real understanding of magic to speak of. She notices it of course, books are books. Beyond that she just drinks coffee and goes back to her own book.
Reaching to a backpack on the chair next to her, she takes out a pencil and starts to work on the notes in the book. The student's life never ends.
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"You know," Dark Willow speaks up. "Physics is not unlike Magic."
She is addressing Angelica, although she is currently unaware of her mutant status,
- Firestar has posed:
She takes a drink of her coffee and pauses when she realizes the woman is talking to her. Raising a brow she asks,"Oh? I don't think I ever thought about that. I'm not really magically inclined, but I'd be interested to hear more if you feel like expounding."
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
One of the chairs moves by itself, as if to invite Angelica.
"Magic is just another way to view things. You deal with force, and light, and string theory. Consider then Magic just another. There is a real proponent to magic that crosses with maths. String theory in particular."
Dark Willow actually smiled as she thought that way. "In the past I was a student of pure Mathmatics and Computer Science."
- Firestar has posed:
Intersted for sure, Angelica gets up and gathers her things. After that she goes over to take the offered seat. She listens to what the other woman says and actually scribbles a little into her notebook.
The mention that she was once a Math and Computer Science student, Angelica smiles a little,"There aren't many of us out there. Women studying the sciences in genral, but those in particular."
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Willow had to pare it down to do her Masters. If only she could have been as competent with magic as she was in studies. Then again, she was buying love from her parents. She couldn't admit to doing magic, now could she?" There is a bitter tone to Dark Willow's voice as she says that.
"But, no, there aren't enough females using their brains to the maximum. So many women are stuck in fear of what will happen to them if they are who they actually were meant to be."
She scowls at the book as she talks.
- Firestar has posed:
Sure there are question, listening to the woman talk about someone else. It takes her a moment to realize that she is referring to herself in the third person. Sure that brings up a red flag or two or at the very least gives her something to think about. Still, she listens.
"Women like us just have to be braver than the rest I suppose. My friend Gwen is like me. Take life by the horns and go for broke. Well, honestly she's worse than me by a long shot. Studies the sciences as well."
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"I tried waiting for Willow to understand that. Though this way I am in charge." She shrugs as she smirks.
"What I don't understand is how I could be played. If I was played.. The Book looks so innocent now. And yet something tells me that perhaps it isn't as innocuous as it seems. My bond is muted and rather than wanting to use the Book either way, I feel nothing. I can't understand."
- Firestar has posed:
Reaching up, Angelica pushes her hair from her face a little and nods. Curiosity burns in those sparking green eyes. She listens to the other woman and nods,"I can understand that. I got played by someone once. Somone...despicable bad." she admits,"His presence was intoxicating. If I am being honest I've never wished ill on anyone else, but that one can burn in the lowest pits of Hell."
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Then you know." Dark Willow smiles ever so sweetly. And ever so bitterly. "The thing is, Buffy wasn't herself. So how could I blame her?"
What? The conversation takes a big turn. Probably because Angelica saying she was burned herself.
"I am in control now. No one plays me." She cants her head. "Would you like this person to pay? I can arrange for that."
- Firestar has posed:
The red eyebrow raises,"Buffy? Summers? She's a sweet heart. Tough as nails too." Angelica admits,"I have met her a few times. As for the other. I would love to see him cook, I'd just like the chance to do some of the cooking." She smiles a little and touching her coffee cup it steams a little. IT took her a moment to remember Willow from GIRL.
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Dark Willow ignores the comment about Buffy being a sweetheart. She has issues with that. It would be better if Willow still hurt over Buffy. Then theory might have a common ground. As it was Willow was standing her ground. Well, as much as she could being forced to remain in the shadows of Dark Willow brain.
"I.. We could give him a small part of what he put you through." In reality, Dark Willow says that, but plans on doing worse. "We could flambe him. Or rake him over the coals like ribs"
- Firestar has posed:
"Since you know Buffy, you probably know about him. He told me his name was Count Dracula and gave me plenty of reasons to believe every word." she admits,"I would love to see him sleep for once and for all. I've never wanted someone done in before, but in his case. He and his are dead already."
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Dark Willow laughs at that. "Oh. Oh, my."
Her demeanour changes. "He would take much more than you to put him in the ground, permanently. And as much as I would normally take on the challenge, I can't help you with him. All I can say is he did not live so long without learning a thing or two about humanity. Take your lumps and be thankful he didn't do worse."
- Firestar has posed:
"Grandma always said I didn't doing anything halfway." she admits,"I can't just attract a bad sort. I have to attract the worst sort." A soft sigh,"I know you are right. He seems to survive no matter what and as much as I would love to see him permanently sleep I figure it is out of my pay grade."
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"I can tell you this.."
Dark Willow sits back, and pores over her nails. "Get him when he is hungry. He is more instinct then. Mind you, he is also at his most dangerous point when he is hungry. But he is more prone to mistakes. Never try when he has the home court. So draw him out. Make him confront you on your home turf. And.."
She drops her hand, and looks up. "You won't ever be him at his game. So beat him at yours."
- Firestar has posed:
Listening to the other woman, Angelica nods and muses softly. She raises her coffee and sips a little first,"Take him off his game, tempt him, and then throw the wrench. He used his mind powers on me back then. Now I'm trained with and against some of the most powerful telepaths in the world. That would take him off guard."
- Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Dark Willow sighs. "You aren't listening. Don't meet him in the mind. You have to strike first. Hardest. With physical attacks. Never let him have time to use his tricks. Or you will lose. I can guarantee that."
She smooths her outfit down. "Really, I have told you too much." She sighs deeply with boredom. "Perhaps, next time.."
But she doesn't finish it. Drifting out on shadows that warp and wend their way about her, and disappear.
- Firestar has posed:
"I'd rather be several feet above him and blasting him more than anything." she replies, realizing she wasn't clear with what she was meaning to say. She meant to agree. Really. Just didn't come out that way.
She watches the other get up to go and starts to say something, but pauses. Told too much? Before she can ask aloud, Willow vanishes into the shadows. Both eyebrows raise up in surprise at the exhibition of power on display. She thinks for a long moment and murmurs softly,"Perhaps next time."
