The Games We Play...
Date of Scene:	16 August 2024
Location:	Backstage (Robin's Roost), Monarch Theatre
Synopsis:	Nikki and Tim spend the night gaming together.

Nikki Hawkins has posed:
Nikki is enjoying a night of relaxation. Which, of course, for her is playing a game on the computer surrounded by cans of soda, bags of chips and cookies, and her being very focused on the game at hand. "Target on the left... going into the building... I'm going in." She speaks, because she's talking into her headset - likely in the middle of a match as she's playing Call of Duty - or some version of it. "Engaging...ha! Got him. Another one bites the dust..." And she takes a victory swallow of sugary goodness.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake has stepped out to grab more solid food. He had put in an order to the local chinese take out and got a bunch of finger food. He wheels in a table that goes between her set up and his, which has the food and plenty of napkins on it. "Foods on." He says as he walks into the room

Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"Thanks love." Nikki offers as she turns her head just enough to make eye contact and give him an air kiss. It's a thing. When she's focused on something, she's a lot more like a regular person and not her less-than-charming autistic self. "Fuck... I've got incoming. Three on me." She turns right back to the computer before reaching over to grab something - probably a piece of fried chicken - to stuff in her mouth before trying to combat the enemy on screen.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will smirk a bit and moves over and kisses her on the top of the head before moving to his own chair, and bringing up his computer. He starts booting up the game and says "Got room for me on your team, or do I need to wait a couple rounds before joining ya?"

Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"Oh we could totally use one more... it's the usual group name... go ahead and load up." Nikki replies to him, having smiled from the kiss to her head. "Ah. Man. Thanks for that save. Alright, I'm falling back a little to heal up. Tim's coming on too." He likely knows this group. It's a couple other guys and one more girl and they've teamed up on a few games now. "Alright. I'm watching my six but I need some cover to run back..."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods and puts his headphones on to be able to talk logging into the voice chat, and then is booting up the game "So, what does the group need tonight?" He tries often to fill out the group for better game play.

Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"Yo Drakey boy." Comes Mike, often the forerunner of the group. "We could use anything, man. Katie's gone for heavy artilery. You know what Nikki's dragging and I'm mostly sniping and covering."

"This is the one time where Nikki doesn't make things go boom. Ain't that right, Kiki?" Comes Katie, with a little country twang to her voice.

Tim will know that Nikki's online persona is KiKi or KiKiLuvs - depending on what she's playing. "Yeah. I took SMGs this game. You wanna run front line with me?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and nods his head a bit and says "Ok setting up the hall clearing build." He tells them, and adds "Will make sure to grab some med packs as well." He looks over and says "What maps we running on tonight?" to Nikki

Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"We're currently running WW2 Zombie. But I think once this run is done we'll switch over to Cartel. Unless you have something in mind you wanna run tonight?" Nikki replies and asks, reaching for another piece of...something. Oooh. Eggroll. Nice. Chomp! "Mmn... yeah medpacs will be good. Bring a couple extra cause I ran out."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods his head and says "I am good for what ever you guys want to do." He grabs a couple crab ragoons and munches one as he loads in and says "Ok, where ya want me to meet you?"

Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"We're on the southeast side. Nikki's at camp, I'm on a roof and Katie's...uhm..." Mike begins.

Katie's character is off shooting zombies in the head. Sort of. "I'm trying to find my cannon!"

Nikki just laughs. "Camp's along the southeast embankment. Just find me and we'll set up before engaging together."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods and will stealth his way towards where Nikki is supposed to meet him. He smirks a bit as he sees ways he could sneak better, but he has played the map enough times to know, even though the route makes sense, the game does not have it coded right.

Nikki Hawkins has posed:
In all truth, between the two of them, Nikki and Tim could likely code out a much better video game if they really wanted to. It's also likely something on Nikki's mind for a future conversation. She can't play professionally forever. Need to leave room for the up commers. "Alright. Medpacs, couple magazines and then we can try taking the south building again. There's a small horde just past the second car on the left...they had me pinned down for a good minute."

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods his head, and says "I can head around come to it from about 90 degrees from you toss a gernade at the rear, get them riled up, and as they are deciding which way to come we both come in clearing house?"

Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"Sounds like a plan. Mike, you got eyes from up top still?" Nikki asks.

"Yeap. I can pick off a couple after you make them go kaboom..."

"Nice. Alright. Engaging now..." And it likely goes off almost perfectly. The grenade gets one and riles the others. Mike picks off a couple. Then it's Tim and Nikki cleaning house.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake smiles and says "Ok, we got this area, now we can..." He pauses yea Tim can be the planning type, but he tries to let the others make the plans when they are playing games, just throwing little tidbits in now and again

Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"Move the base here and group up. Then we can figure out what new points to take." Nikki finishes for Tim, and flashes him a smile in real life. They make a really good team - and this has likely even been proven when she works in the hideout helping Red Robin. She just has a knack for it. "I think this area is clear so we can focus on heading...west?"

"Nah. I think we should keep pushing south. We might hit another loot haul if we take it a little further." Mike chimes in.
