- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake had set Nikki up in the computer room of the roost to watch him and talk during his patrol. It was a mostly uneventful He stopped some people who were trying to mug a lady. A few guys who were trying to rob an electronics store. The last bit he did make a stop in at a homeless camp, walking through it in disguise as one of them. Now, he is back in uniform and riding his bike back into the roost.
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
Nikki had watched from the computer room, fascinated by the technology surrounding her. The communication was always brief with Nikki just keeping an eye out for Tim while he did his patrolling. When she knew he was on his way back, she stands from the computer system and begins to walk down towards where the vehicles are parked, specifically where he would be pulling in and parking his bike once he got back. It was interesting, fun, and dangerous all at once - and she has some new questions to ask him once he's home.
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will pull in park his bike, before removing his helmet. He looks over to her, and offers her a smile "Hey you, so what did you think?" He asks, as he removes his utility belt, and hangs it on a section of the wall along with his staff.
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"Nikki thinks you do a dangerous job, but it seems important for the sake of Gotham..." The woman offers while watching him put things away. "It makes Nikki wonder why you do it... why you and others put yourselves in harm's way..." Then she considers something. "And none of that somebody has to do it nonsense. No one -has- to do it...but Nikki knows there's other dangers out there..." Cause she's not stupid. Not by any means. "She did like how you stopped by that homeless village. That was nice."
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake will walk over to give her a hug and a kiss on her cheek. "Well, it does need to be done, but the reason I ended up becoming Robin was actually to help one specific person." He tells her. Now, I see what I can do to help people and I want to help people. As for the last stop, allows me to find where I can help, but also lets me keep my ear to rumors going on.
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
Nikki smirks, returning the hug and kisses his cheek as well. "She can accept that it needs to be done. You saved a store from losing what may have been thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. Helped a kind woman not get beat up. And Nikki knows how that feels. And can understand the bit about the people. She supposes those who live on the streets would know the most about what's going on..." She says all this and then tilts her head. "But what about the big bad guys we hear about? How come they always wind up back on the streets again? You'd think the police would find a way to keep them locked up..."
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well, they have to go by the laws, and at times, that can be aggrivating, but it has to happen. And for some of them getting out, it is hard to keep some of them away. I know some folks who are on the good side of things and trying to keep them locked up would be difficult as well."
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"Just makes it seem like a vicious circle that you and the others keep having to go around with no signs of stopping. If Nikki didn't know any better she'd wonder why none of you have gone mad as a Hatter." Nikki makes a Wonderland joke - mostly because being a New Yorker she doesn't know the names of ALL the villains anyone has had to face here in Gotham. "Also, who goes and does this at night when you're spending time with me?" She pauses in any step or thought and asks, "...does being with me make the job harder?"
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake shakes his head, and says "Na, being with you helps, as it makes me remember part of why I am doing it." He puts an arm around here, and says "Well it can give grief, but the only other options are either do nothing or do something that makes us the bad guys."
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
Nikki smiles a little, leaning her head on his shoulder as his arm goes around her and then begins walking back up the roost to perhaps get to where he can take the suit off. "Well. I guess that makes sense..." She offers, her closer arm shifting to wrap around his waist as they walk. "Now, for the most important question of all." Then she pauses. Dramatic effect and all that. "What do you want for dinner?"
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake chuckles and says "Well, I am thinking some pizza if we have any left, or maybe we could order some breakfast. With the night shift, there is more often breakfast dinners, than not to be honest.
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"Actually we might have a bit left. Pizza I mean..." Nikki offers this and then pulls away if only to go up to the computers she had been using just a bit ago. "I think I can program some enhancements into the tracking system. Right now I think it's a bit off from where someone is and what it's telling me. Or anyone sitting in this seat. More accuracy would mean better response times if anyone ever needed backup..."
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods his head a bit and says "I need to introduce you to Oracle, I think you and she would get along well." He offers with a smile and walks over to see what programming she was thinking.
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
Nikki smiles a little and then sits at the computer and shows him how the programming would work. "I mean, this code is good, but it's also a little dated. Even coding has it's shelf life, you know? I can re-code it and script it to give a tighter field. So it'd likely only be off by a few feet rather than a few blocks.."
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake hmms and nods his head a bit to this watching and says "That should work, but you will want to make sure to run it through that scrambler, to make sure your code is hidden. We have it set up so any electronics we might leave behind bricks, but best to be safer
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
Nikki seems thoughtful of that for a moment. "Bricking is good, but there are people out there who can unbreak the broken. Why not scramble it, but also include a self destruct code. Not that the items themselves will blow up, but the breaking will happen right down to the code. So even if someone was able to access into the item again, nothing they read would made any sense." Break the scrambling, as it were.
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and will sit down at a computer beside her, bringing up the security they have "Well right now it reinstalls, this code over the old makes it look legit, but it has none of our real stuff on it, and allows us to track it.
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"Oooh. Phantom programming. I've never actually seen it before..." Nikki says, reading it over with a scan of eyes that one would almost think she just skimmed it, but in reality she's taking it all in - just quickly. "Okay... so.. yes..." And she turns to the other, beginning to re-code the program as she explained, but also writing the in the phantom script and running it through the scrambler. She'll occasionally point out things, just to at least get his okay on what she's doing, but it's very clear that coding is another-other skill she seems almost natural with.
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods his head a bit to this and says "Impressive." He offers her an honest compliment. He does each over to a mini fridge grabbing a water and taking a sip.
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
"My folks never understood it." Nikki blurts out almost randomly. "They only gave in to letting me persue computer based stuff because it seemed to be the one outlet that kept me the most calm." Finishing out the scripting, she sets it to run and then re-opens the program so that it updates with the new information. "I say that first to let you know that when you tell me stuff like this is impressive, it really means a lot to me. So thank you."
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake looks over and says "Yea, well, I mean it hon, I know some folks who are very into computers and think they would tell ya it was good code too."
- Nikki Hawkins has posed:
Nikki leans over to give him a proper kiss. "That should update soon. Couple hours at most... in the meanwhile. You should change and we should eat." She nods with a grin.
- Red Robin has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and will lean over to kiss her, and stands heading towards the shower area. He is starting to undress as he heads there since they are the only ones there.
