Swimming Pool Summer
Date of Scene: 17 July 2024
Location: Swimming Pool - Xavier's School
Synopsis: A hot summer day at the pool, and the Cuckoos present creative punishment to some peeping toms.
Cast of Characters: Red, Rogue, Gambit, Stepford Cuckoos

Red has posed:
The weather is hot in mid July, at least for New York. People leave the big city for the cooler areas, and while Alice doesn't really have a long summer vacation from working down in town, she went upstate to her Alma Mater for at least a short visit. And for some reason... she ended up at the pool, wearing a red onesie, matching to her hair, a towel over her shoulder-
Rogue has posed:
Hot enough that Rogue herself was out and about after a few moments of consideration. her hair down, a thin 'coat' of semi-sheer material around her shoulders offering a glimpse of the swimsuit she wore beneath as she made her approach. After all, 'killer looks' were one thing but well...Rogue in a bikini could be very literally dangerous to others!
Gambit has posed:
"Jack yah get back 'ere or Ah swear ta God Ah will skin yah alive an' use de pieces as fish bait!" Remy for his part is dressed in a pair of blue jeans that were cut off at the knees and a bright pink t-shirt that reads "Don't laugh, it's your girlfriend's shirt." As for Jack? Well Jack is a medium sized dog with an extra long tail and only one eye. Yes, Remy named his dog "One-Eyed Jack." The dog is running away from the Cajun with great joy thinking this is some sort of amazing game that he and his master have invented... Of course he also has Remy's leather wallet in his mouth. He runs along the length of the pool, when he sees his "second-most-favoritist-person-in-the-whole-world... dropping the wallet on Rogue lap and waiting for head scratches.
Red has posed:
Alice turns to Rogue to offer a little wave. "Hey girl. Long time no see, hm?" She smiles a little, though knowing the woman, there's no offer of a hand, instead moving the towel from the shoulder to a hand. "How's life? Summer days drifting away?" The dog does earn a raised eyebrow, then a look to the yelling Cajun.
Rogue has posed:
To say it was unexpected was...well, both true and untrue the very moment that Remy started talking. With her gloves still on her fingertips for the time being, Jack does indeed get a little scritch before she looks up at Alice speaking up, a little soft laugh. "Hell, even we need some time off, right?"
Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau catches up to the dog now that he has stopped moving. The Cajun takes a few deep breaths and growls slightly at the hound, who wags that whip like tail happily, as if to say "Yeah that was fun, right." Remy shakes his head and looks at his not tooth dented wallet on Rogue's lap. "Any chance Ah c'n get dat back chere?" He asks with mild amusement on his lips. He then nods to Alice and says, "Nice day, non?"
Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
The Stepford Cuckoos entered the pool area with an effortless grace, each sister wearing a swimsuit that perfectly matched her unique personality. They looked like perfect swimwear models, their confidence palpable. As they made their entrance, two mutant boys from the school ran in front of them, barking and moving on all fours as if compelled to act like dogs. The Cuckoos, unbothered by the bizarre sight, kept their stride and continued their conversation.----Phoebe, in a bold red swimsuit, glanced at the boys with a smirk. "Serves them right for messing with us," she said, her voice dripping with satisfaction. "Drooling all over us like pea-brained dogs."----Irma, in a classic black swimsuit that complemented her piano-playing elegance, nodded in agreement. "Absolutely. They deserved it for their harassment," she added, her tone laced with disdain.----Sophie, in a stylish blue swimsuit that hinted at her leadership qualities, chimed in, "They thought they could get away with it, but they had no idea who they were dealing with."----Celeste, wearing a sophisticated green swimsuit, echoed her sisters' sentiments, "It's only fair they get a taste of their own medicine."----Meanwhile, Esme, the smartest of the group, walked beside them, her eyes glued to a book she was reading even as she moved. She wore a white swimsuit that contrasted her dark hair, making her stand out even more. When the other sisters had finished their banter, she spoke up without looking up from her book, "You know, I'm reading about proper dog care. Did you know that dogs need a balanced diet that includes proteins, fats, and carbohydrates?"----The other sisters quickly turned to her, exasperation clear on their faces. "Esme, we are NOT keeping those boys. They're gross," they shouted in unison.----Esme sighed in annoyance, snapping her book shut. "Fine, fine," she muttered, clearly displeased with the rejection of her idea. The interaction hinted at the mental alterations the Cuckoos had imposed on the boys, and Esme's interest in actually keeping them around as pets.
Red has posed:
"That would usually be time for the B-Team to shine, right? But since I didn't even make the backup of the backup, you tell me." Alice remarks with a chuckle, remembering all the times she failed in the Danger Room for the Holograms were not clad in polymers, so unlike most humans outside.

"Well, decent enough, if a little hot. But who would we be if we wouldn't complain about the weather? Better the weather than anything else, right Mr. LeBeau?"

The entrance of the Cuckoos with their... toys earns them a tiny scowl, soon to smooth over a little, as they claimed to not want to keep them.
Rogue has posed:
"Ah feel like ah should be making a joke about a dog leading a hound Remy," Rogue offers lightly, but the Cajun would find his wallet returned as Rogue settles herself down to the edge of the pool, dipping her legs into the water.

Alice? She gets a little laugh from Rogue and a little wave of her hand. "Y'know not facing a killer robot or purifier every weekend isn't the worst thing..."

She'd say more to either of the two, but the Cuckoos and their 'company' brings a little blink and she looks back. "Damn girls, I didn't mean literally. The heck happened here?'
Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau takes his wallet, wiping the bit of dog slobber off on his jeans before pocketing it again. He then stares at the Cuckoos "Now as a member of de faculty in good standing, If i were seeing what Ah t'ink Ah'm seeing Ah woul' 'ave ta report it ta someone... So please tell me cheres what it is dat Ah'm not seeing?" He asks trying very hard not to laugh." In the mean time Jack comes to the realization that there are now /ten/ humans, for a total /twenty/ hands... AND NONE OF THEM ARE GIVING TUMMY RUBS! This calls for drastic action, namely running quickly to and from each person trying to get attention from everyone all at once..
Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
As the Stepford Cuckoos continued their conversation, their demeanor remained unbothered and indifferent toward the boys' antics. They spoke amongst themselves with casual disdain.----Phoebe was the first to respond, "Honestly, Rogue, it was the stupidest thing ever. They tried peeking in on us while we were changing. Did they really think they could get away with it? I mean, hello! We're telepaths."----Irma nodded in agreement, adding, "Exactly. It's like they forgot we can literally read their thoughts. So, as punishment, we turned them into the dogs they were acting like. It's only fair."----Celeste chimed in, her voice dismissive, "And don't worry, Rogue. We set the alteration to wear off sometime tonight. We didn't bother with specifics. We've got more important things to focus on."----Esme, with an idea flashing across her face, turned to Alice with an excited glint in her eye. "Hey, Alice, do you think you could create some clothing that looks like dogs and would fit two teenage boys? It's not anything weird, gross, or sick---I just want to dress them up. You know, for fun."----The other Cuckoos quickly snapped in unison, "NO, Esme!" making her sigh and mutter, "Whatever."----Meanwhile, Jack, the actual dog, was in bliss as the Cuckoos began doting on him. They petted him, showering him with attention as they mentally dismissed the two boys. The telepathic command guided them to go bark up a tree somewhere far away from the pool area, leaving the actual dog to enjoy the affection he truly deserved.
Red has posed:
Alice says, "I doubt you count people with greasy fingers and a lack of respect for people in costume at ComicCon in that league," Alice retorts to Rogue, offering a little wink in addition.

The questions by Remy earn him a short side look before eying over the two boys as Esme asks them to be dressed like dogs. "Uh... Girls, do you have an idea what you ask there? I can make costumes and stuff, but dressing up people under some kind of... control... sounds a little iffy to me. Sorry. And you'd need to be more specific that that anyway. Like, you are looking for something like Inuyasha or some kind of Dog-butler-thingy like you'd see in a Maid-Caffee?""
Rogue has posed:
"Thinkin' you made your point girls. Telepaths make people nervous before you start doing stuff like this. Cut em loose." Rogue the spoil sport, even if it was temporary she wasn't really going to be standing for these sort of antics. "Students see this sort of thing? They'll be too scared y'all will have them thinking they're chickens to stay. Other ways to teach some pervs a lesson anyway."
Gambit has posed:
Remy LeBeau grins wickedly, "Really chere? Yah got a list of dose?" Remy asks rogue with that sly playful grin of his as he decideds since he is here, and the pooch is occupied to jump head first into the pool and then prop himself up on the edge of it by his arms. "Maybe yah like ta demonstrate some of dose techniques on Remy some time. Could be educational." He says with a wicked grin, pushing his wet bangs out of his eyes. Jack for his part is completely in heaven, eyes closed on his back and paws out streached to allow maximum surface area for belly rubs...
Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
Esme dismissed Alice's concerns with a wave of her hand. "Oh, come off it, Alice. People put ridiculous outfits on their pets all the time, and do you think the pet is saying, 'Oh please, put that on me?' No, they're not. Besides, it's what Emma would do."----The Cuckoos turned their attention to Rogue, nonchalantly shrugging in unison. "We hope the boys do fear us," Irma said coolly. "And learn how to respect the perfect girls that we are," added Celeste.----"We warned them before, and they didn't listen," Sophie stated matter-of-factly. "This is the price they paid for their transgressions."----Phoebe's eyes suddenly lit up with inspiration. "Ooh, divine retribution!" she exclaimed.----The rest of her sisters immediately echoed, "Naturally," and they all giggled at the clever, albeit cocky, comparison.----However, they ultimately agreed to release the boys, albeit begrudgingly. As the mental control over the boys dissipated, the Cuckoos turned to Rogue and said simultaneously, "And we'll do it again," their voices eerily reminiscent of Emma Frost.
Red has posed:
"Wedgies?" Alice suggests as a possible punishment with a shrug, then looking to Remy. "Want to test them? Like, could be worth a try, right?"

Alice's eyebrows narrow as Esme notes what Emma might do, almost frozen in place for a short moment before she offers a short shrug. "Miss Frost has more... refined ways than making someone just play a dog for a little. Maybe ask her the next time you see her? Like... you could have sent them on their way and tell on themselves to a teacher."
Rogue has posed:
While the boys were released and left to run, likely embarassed and mildly traumatized, Rogue herself just shakes her head. She wasn't going to convince the Stepfords their response was excessive, and she was hardly the teacher or role model someone like Ororo or Jean was...so she simply let her gaze switch to Remy at his banter, her response simply to kick her legs enough to splash the man...though she doubted it would cool his antics.

Finally, she'd reach to remove that garment that covered her, leaving her in her swimsuit as she made to slip into the water.
Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
The Cuckoos blinked, momentarily stunned by Alice's suggestion. Then, as one, they exchanged glances, their eyes wide with incredulity before bursting into laughter, their voices mingling in a symphony of teenage amusement.----Phoebe, her lips curling into a smirk, asked, "You're not serious, right?" Her eyebrows arched in disbelief.----Irma, shaking her head with a mischievous grin, added, "Do you really KNOW Emma?" She crossed her arms, her posture radiating confidence.----Sophie, her eyes gleaming with a teasing light, chimed in, "She eats men for brunch!" She leaned slightly forward, emphasizing her point with a playful glint in her eye.----Celeste, with a wicked grin spreading across her face, concluded, "More like chews them up and spits them out." She flicked her hair back, the motion full of self-assured amusement.----Esme, the smartest of the group, spoke up with a sly smile, "Emma would give us an award for handling it how we did." She then added in Latin, "Nemo impune lacessit," her pronunciation precise and her tone dripping with teenage smugness.----The girls tittered with delightful laughter, almost like a chorus of mean girls, their mirth filling the air. Their eyes sparkled with the shared joke, and they seemed to revel in the camaraderie of their collective wit.----After a few moments, their laughter subsided, and they turned back to Alice with softened expressions. Phoebe's smirk turned into a more gentle smile. "Sorry, Alice," she said, her tone more bemused than mocking. "We didn't mean to make fun of you."----Irma, her eyes still dancing with residual amusement but now carrying a hint of sympathy, explained, "It's just that you've never been in Emma's head, and we have." She unfolded her arms, offering a more open and understanding posture.----Sophie, her teasing demeanor giving way to a sincere expression, finished, "So we know the details of the Devil Queen in White." She offered Alice a small, understanding smile, her eyes reflecting a genuine attempt to bridge the gap.
Red has posed:
Alice says, "Girls, I work for her. She has a way to make people embarrass themselves a little more refined than having them play animals. I mean..." Alice sighs a moment, tossing her towel to a stretcher. "She can be super subtle about it. Like, nothing everybody would see at once, but something that prevents them from ever peeking again. Like, an aversion to the girl's locker room, or making people changing a total turnoff. Or just give them a gay period."

Following Rougue into the water, there's a little laughter at Emma's consumption of men. "Sure she does eat 'em, but in a rather refined way. She'd make sure the dog thing has all impact it could have, not just having them crawl.""
Stepford Cuckoos has posed:
The Stepford Cuckoos collectively sighed, their expressions showing clear boredom with the entire situation. They waved a general dismissive hand in unison, Phoebe speaking first, "We suppose that's the difference between us and Emma."----Irma added, "Subtlety has its time and place."----"But if we're really going to get rid of hormonal boys," Sophie continued, "we have to make a spectacle and an example of them."----Celeste finished with a shrug, "We don't want to swim anymore. We're bored and going back inside."----As they began to depart, Esme called out, "Goodbye, Alice." The other Cuckoos echoed her, "Goodbye, Alice." They turned and gracefully made their way back toward the mansion, leaving the pool area behind.
