- Blue Ranger has posed:
In a move that was sure to please Tommy Oliver, the Angel Grove Youth Centre was celebrating "Green Day" an annual tradition that began two years ago when an unfortunately worded delivery order resulted in Earnies' receiving shipments of green smoothie mix, green cutlery, green napkins, and, well, you get the idea. In a bid to blow it out, Earnie held a "Green Day", and it proved so popular, that it was repeated the following two years.
Some believe Earnie wasn't able to go through all the green paraphernalia, but one would hope he wouldn't keep smoothie mixes on ice for that long. Even they had to have a shelf life. It was like St. Patrick's Day, except less booze, and it happened to take place during the summer.
Billy Cranston wore stonewashed blue jeans and a navy blue t-shirt that had some seaform green accents, to get into the spirit of Green Day. He had been planning to meet some of his friends, but had seemingly been the first of his group to show up, and so he took a spot near the bar.
- Raven has posed:
Raven herself didn't really know what 'Green' day was, although she knew at least one Titan who might otherwise be all too excited at the idea. Thankfully, he wasn't here for this one. Instead she was here on her own, dressed casually enough in what appeared to be a 'casual goth' look. Her hair down, her upper body wrapped in a hoodie, it was her best attempt at 'normal' despite the fact that she was pale, purple-haired and...well, with a gem attached to her forehead.
It tended to make one stand out.
- Blue Ranger has posed:
The gem was probably the part that stood out the most. People were pale, some wore hoodies, and some were Goths. But few people wore gems in their forehead. Certain religions used a form of makeup, but gems were unusual. Nobody seemed to notice or care, after all, Angel Grove was an accepting place.
Billy had tried to get a cookies and cream milkshake, as he was genuinely in the mood for that, and what he got was a sort of dark green and light green milkshake. He looked at it, the only other colour in there was the white whipped cream at the top, oh wait, no, even that was lightly tinted green. "Uh, thanks Earnie," he said, paying for it and giving a generous tip, as usual.
The owner then set his sights on Rachel, "what can I get for you, miss?"
- Raven has posed:
Most people might take it for some excentric flair or costume jewelry, another strange note for someone just trying to be a little different. Hell, Raven didn't really care that much about it...or she'd at the very least gotten quite good at not being obvious it annoyied her. Her eyes lift at the question, a little glance towards the menu for a moment before she tilts her head. "I guess...blueberry, if that's actually still a thing with all this...green?"
- Blue Ranger has posed:
"Might look more like teal, turquoise, even going towards forest green, but trust me, there's blueberry in there," Earnie said, "coming right up." He would take another order from the person to Rachel's left, while he, or one of the other people behind the bar, was making the smoothie.
Billy said to the stranger reassuringly, "it's rather quite refreshing, the blueberry smoothie." He continued to play with his cookies and cream milkshake, taking a slow and tentative sip. "While this concoction, despite its pigmentation deviation, does taste like cookies and cream."
- Raven has posed:
"Good enough," Rachel muses quietly, a shrugging her shoulders and then gently settling her hands down on the counter. It was all a little 'twee'...but she could probably deal with some raised spirits after all. It was part of being an empath, feeling things as she did. Billy speaking up had her attention drawn over towards the man and tilting her head to the side.
"No kidding..."
- Blue Ranger has posed:
She was delightfully deadpan. For many, that would be great, but Billy was a bit literal at times. "Sorry, I was not making an attempt at jocularity. I was being literal, or attempting to be so." Earnie would plop down the blueberry smoothie, which of course looked green, in a clear glass, with a green straw, and on a green coaster. He mentioned the price of it, which was surprisingly cheap. That was probably why so many people tipped well.
- Raven has posed:
"It's fine," Raven offers, at leaast an attempt to be somewhat sociable. After all, she -was- trying to be somewhere brighter, happier, after spending time dealing with far too much dark and dreary. "It's good to know it won't ruin it, just because it looks like it was attacked by the Lucky Charms mascot."
A sip, sure enough Ernie was as talented as always, a soft sigh from Raven's lips suggesting it met her standards.
- Blue Ranger has posed:
Billy could see the look of contentment on Raven's otherwise emotionless face, and he knew that Earnie had done it again. "I take it that beverage is magically delicious?" He asked, seeking confirmation while also referencing the Lucky Charms adverts. He took another sip of his milkshake, and Earnie plopped down some stuffed Yorkshire puddings between them with horseradish cream, except they too were tinted green. "It's on the house Billy, for you and your friend."
- Raven has posed:
Horseradish cream? The idea alone would have Raven considering turning green...or wondering if Beast Boy had been hiding in the kitchen. Not exactly the most adventurous in the cullinary world, Rachel Roth. "It's good," she concedes, a blink at the free food as it's given and a look towards the apparently named Billy. "You're a regular here then?"
- Blue Ranger has posed:
"Yes," and Billy offered a hand in greeting, which he would shake if accepted, and politely withdraw as if it had never been offered with any other reaction. "My name is Billy Cranston. My friends and I have been coming here since we were in high school, and I suppose, we never grew out of it. It has a multipurpose function, with a wide age range." Seriously, just how long had Bulk and Skull been held back? They looked to be in their thirties or forties when Billy was in high school.
