Everyone who's ever met Jubilee loves her. Or hates her. A graduate of Xavier's, she has found her path outside the calling of education. She now acts as a rescuer, finding the gifted, young and old, and helping them to find their place. And hopefully a positive future full of hope and light. With a penchant for humour and a love of Steampunk, she finds her way into the hearts of everyone, one way or another. But once she's in the heart of the enemy...It's SHOWTIME.
JUBILEE'S HISTORY
Jubilation Lee was born in Beverly Hills, California, the only child of wealthy Chinese immigrants. She was, in a word, spirited. For years, she worked tirelessly to perfect her exquisite skills in gymnastics, and was thought by many to be destined for the Olympic Games before she was even a teenager. Her slight but muscular form was highly-disciplined, and there was little else on her mind until the day two hitmen took the lives of her mother and father.
That was the day that everything changed.
Jubilation was sent to an orphanage, but her spirit was undaunted, and would not be restrained. She escaped shortly thereafter, and stowed away within a mall in the heart of Beverly Hills. She stole food to survive, and concealed her presence from all but the most quick-witted of security guards. But even those could not corner the girl, if she did not want to be discovered.
Then, unbidden, everything changed again. One night, as she fled through the mall with two security guards in pursuit, the heat of the moment overcame the girl when she was nearly apprehended. As she put up her hands in defense, a cascading shower of pyrotechnic light appeared between her and the two guards, who became blinded and bewildered by the display. Likely as stunned as they, Jubilation had just enough presence of mind to flee.
In the coming days and weeks, Jubilation hid herself away and tested her newfound skills, watching with wonder each flash of colourful light as it exploded with a sound that she called "paf." Gradually, the homeless orphan found acceptance and even admiration in the throngs who frequent the mall by exhibiting her talents in small, staged spectacles of light and colour. Acceptance, admiration, and occasionally, a handful of coins.
But the girl's displays of "jubilation" would not be the height of her achievements. In the coming years, Jubilation was subject to a great deal of scrutiny, in brushes with law enforcement who wanted to see her tested and identified, and if applicable, registered as a mutant. She narrowly managed to avoid capture at every turn, but found herself living on the street, and having to be far more careful about her only means of making money. It was at this time that a man saw a street performance held by the girl, and he snagged her the moment one of her fireworks took the form of a Chinese dragon and took flight. With a no-nonsense attitude, and the reflexes to catch her by the arm before she could flee, he identified himself as "like her," and pulled her off the street and onto the road with him. It was some years later that he brought her to a group of like-minded people he counted as friends, and fellow mutants. Here, she got her degree, and now teaches mutants like herself, finding her own little niche in a group known as the X-Men.

Jubilee stands 5'4" and looks to weigh about 110 pounds. Her hair is long, sleek, and onyx black, and her eyes range from their usual stormy grey to glowing blue, depending upon circumstances. Nestled atop her head, most often, is a pair of turn-of-the-century brass goggles fitted with welding glass, which shields her eyes when things get intense. Because intense means bright. Really bright. She's fond of corsets and pinup styles of dress, tanktops and cutoff denim shorts, and bikinis. Often, in true steampunk fashion, she often wears a yellow peacoat with gears and toggles. And more often than any of the rest, her signature pair of pink Converse sneakers.

Anyone who's ever met Jubilee loves her. Or hates her. Her sense of humour and equal-opportunity irreverence are the foundation for antics that range from irritating to mind-boggling. She has a penchant for tech and gadgetry, steampunk culture, and tough guys. With a heart of gold, she'll find her way into the hearts of friends and enemies. But once she's inside the enemy's....it's SHOWTIME!

HEALING FACTOR
When well-fed, Jubilee can heal quickly from most wounds that would usually be considered non-lethal. Wounds that would normally be considered mortal, may take days to weaks to heal.
HEIGHTENED SENSES
Thanks to her short criminal career and a lifetime of watching out for bigger problems than she could handle, Jubilee is really on the ball. She doesn't miss much, and her eye for trouble extends to clues and cues as well. She's also a really good people-watcher and cold-reader. But the ante is upped, with heightened senses, as a vampire.
IMMORTALITY
Oh God, you're stuck with Jubilee until someone beheads her, or burns her to ashes. Or she enjoys a day on the beach, sunbathing.
MESMERISM
Jubilee has the ability to mesmerize or hypnotize most humans, and many other species (given that the player whose character is targeted is aware and in agreement, depending upon the roleplay situation.)
PLASMOIDS
Jubilee can create bursts of glowing, multicolored globules of energy in an impressive spectrum of colors, which she refers to as 'fireworks'. The plasmoids zip around under her control, and she can absorb them back into her body harmlessly. She can also use them to attack by detonating them against a target, delivering explosive and energy damage capable of burning holes in sheet steel. If she wishes, she can make the plasmoids explode in stroboscopic flashes of light, blinding enemies. She can spray fireworks from each hand, which means she can blast two enemies at once if she doesn't mind doing a bit less damage. All that, and a better show than a Chinese New Year, too! Still, they have a short range. The longest shot Jubilee's ever attempted was about 50 meters. Owing to her new powers as a vampire, when put under duress, she may deliver a double-handed plume of blue plasma that could melt a Volkswagen Beetle. But she can't sustain it for long, or do it often.

Being a vampire has vastly increased speed, reaction time, and dexterity, allowing Jubilee's top speed and abilities as a gymnast to increase exponentially beyond her previous human form.

(Either that, or the poor guy was just afraid he'd have to ride with her again.) Whether it's a manual transmission or an automatic, she can get into it and drive it from Point A to Point B, even in New York City traffic. She can also navigate by map or GPS, whichever she has. But she's far more at home on a motorcycle.
GET OUTTA MY HEAD!
Whether it's another aspect of her mutant powers, the chaotic nature of a teenage mall rat's mind, or just a plain, old-fashoned sneaky mindset, Jubilee is incredibly hard for even powerful telepaths to detect. Using powers requiring mind-to-mind contact is just as hard. Even the Prof himself isn't sure of the nature of this ability, only that it works, and works very well.

And food and a place to sleep are never a problem if she's even halfway trying: Clothing, shelter, water, cheeseburgers, candy, doughnuts, pizza-by-the-slice, ice cream, soda pop... all the necessities of life are easily found!
