ANIMAL EMPATHY

Gar has low-level psychic abilities that allow him to empathically sense animals, read their emotions. He can not alter their emotions, or project anything to them.

ANIMAL MIMICRY

Beast Boy can copy the abilities of any animal he can transform into. Even when not shape-shifted into an animal, Beast Boy can impersonate the sounds they can make that fall within normal human hearing range flawlessly.

ANIMALY POLYMORPH

JK Rowling was on to something back in the day, with wizards and wizards who can assume animal forms. That's what I can do, only I'm not limited to one kind of animal. Heck! I'm not even limited to real animals. I can totally morph into mythical creatures too! (See IMDB: Pete's Dragon) They also don't have to be Earth animals. Xenofauna, alien as they might be, are fair game provided I know enough about the creature I'm shifting into. Size also doesn't matter when it comes to my transformations. A flea is just as easy as a blue whale; a unicorn as simple as a Targarrian something impronouncible to humans. I don't have a time limit either nor a set number of times I can shift nor do I have to go back to the human me before slipping into my next critter-self. I can talk like myself while shifted too. I have no idea how, so I'm invoking the power of script because it hurts my brain way less than trying to sort out if I'm doing a partial transformation to animal or of it's a full shift with a partial transformation of my vocal thingies to let me talk. It also hurts my head when I think about animals that have no lips. How would I even say my codename? Seriously, people! It's really easier to just invoke script, blame the writer, and move on with life. That's what I do. I'm a pretty happy guy, so it can't be bad at all. Especially since being able to talk as an animal is basically a career for me! It's a good thing I can let the animal effect the sound of my voice, if I want. can you imagine a dragon sounding like a squeaky teenager? Yeah no.

ACTING

Gar is a child actor, known mostly for animal roles. Some of these animal roles had speaking parts, so Gar knows how to project emotions which are understandable to humans through a variety of animal forms.

ANIMAL NERD

Gar goes out of his way to learn about all manner of fauna. The more exotic the better. Yes, binge watching Animal Planet is a thing he does, often shape shifting into whatever animal is on screen as he's doing so. And yes, it means he knows tons of useful and not so useful animal facts.

IMPERSONATION

Thank you, lyrebird. Gar is a fairly competent impersonator of voices. From Popeye and Bugs Bunny to Celine Dion, there are few voices that with practice Gar can't make a reasonable facsimile of. If he focused on it, he likely could fool even close family and friends.

MOVIE STUNTS

Gar does all his own stunts for the movies, as animals (sometimes himself). He is well versed in using animal forms for 'action' sequences in front of the camera or an audience.

FOSTER FAMILY

After the death of his parents, Garfield was adopted by a really wonderful family that helped him through a lot of things. They are there when he needs them and helped him set up the things he needed when he was a minor for his acting career. As far as families go, Gar won the jackpot; twice!

ROYALTIES

Garfield was fortunate that the family that took him in after the death of his family, actors themselves, helped him set up finances in a way that would allow him the ability to grow it or use it to move his life in a direction of his choosing. The money from his early film credits were deposited untouched and give him a nice monthly stipend to live from between gigs, whose money gets added into the checking out.

ANIMAL INSTINCTS

In order to use the abilities of the animal he has shape shifted into, Gar needs to let the instincts of the creature take control now and then. The drawback is that creatures with very strong instincts or if he had to stay in any one animal's shape for too long finds Gar with some interesting instincts when he returns to his real shape. The instincts of these animals lingers for a few hours to days.

DISTINCTIVE APPEARANCE

Gar is green from the tips of his ears to the ends of his toenails, from fingertip to fingertip, everything about Gar is a shade of green. Even when shape-shifted into some sort of animal, Gar is still green. You could say he is super green. Ruby Rod was hilarious! Fifth Element was a great movie!

He survived the illness and shortly there after began his acting career, making use of his ability to shape-shift into various animals. He is the first known metahuman openly and actively working in the Movie and Film Industry.
