Remo Williams is, well, nobody. Declared dead seven years ago, his face was fixed to that he would still be considered handsome, he has no details that really just stick out. He'll be there one second, gone the next. He tends to wear the same sorts of clothes, clean-shaven and mysterious-looking.

Description:

He is not exactly imposing, and he has handsome features, in a rough sort of way. He's wearing a T-shirt and chinos, with loafers on his feet. He certainly looks like someone who's engaged in intensive regular exercise, but the most dramatic features are his dark, deep eyes...and the the thick wrists, wrists nearly as thick as tomato cans.

History

History 1:
His name was Remo and he was an ordinary cop in Newark. Just got his detective shield, had an average life with an average circle of friends, dating a girl, still idealistic enough to want to help people. Then he got framed for a crime he didn't commit and ended up in an electric chair that didn't work. He woke up at Folcroft Sanitarium with a new face, a new boss and a new job: to go after the people that used the Constitution as a shield, that were considered untouchable due to power, influence or sheer riches. He was "recruited" by the organization CURE and assigned to an old Korean man who began to teach him the ways of "Sinanju", the first martial art ever conceived and perfected for the purpose of assassination.

History 2:
His new mentor, Chiun, is quite proud of his professional history and those of his forebears, and sees something in Remo that seems promising. However, thought Remo has gone through considerable training and has elevated his body to beyond its peak condition, Chiun has informed him that, with unflinching dedication to learning, Remo could indeed become the greatest martial artist in the world...in about thirty years. ("If I cut a few corners, twenty-eight and a half.")

History 3:

Until then, he's got a lot to learn; he might be able to handle most street-level thugs, but he's got a ways to go before he gets to Batman's league. Until then, between jobs for CURE, he spends his time in major cities, having to move around a lot for work, and usually finds himself trying to be a good guy in a bad situation.

Personality:

Remo is a genuinely nice guy, come from a long line of nice guys. When it comes to his work, he can be exceedingly ruthless, but outside of the job, he's kind and generous almost to a fault. This quality comes from growing up in an orphanage, where he's seen terrible things happen to those weaker than others. It's one of the reasons why he became a Marine, and then a police officer. Even on the job, if he can find another way to resolve a problem without killing anyone, he'll take it. However, this kind demeanor is usually hidden behind a seemingly uncaring attitude, even sarcastic at times. He has a respect for "capes" for those trying to do the right thing, but he doesn't think much of some of their combat uniforms. He's got a weakness for children and women, and in a combat situation, his first task would be making sure all the non-combatants are out of the way, taking considerable risks if necessary. He's old-fashioned in his sentimentalities, and acutely aware that he's not the most sociable of people, since many social functions involve situations where he would tend to stand out. He also tends to avoid letting people get close to him, particularly women. ESPECIALLY women. People he has cared about have a tendency towards dying, with the only exception of Chiun, his mentor and father-figure. All in all, he's loyal, a patriot at heart, and if he makes a promise, he'll keep his word even if it doing so is a detriment to him.

Heightened Senses:
Remo is much more sensitive than normal, and can sense things more acutely. He's no bloodhound, but traces of scents, sounds and textures are much easier things for him to read.

Sinanju Training:
Due to the rigorous training he has received, not to mention a restrictive diet and exercise regimen, Remo has reached the pinnacle of human ability. He's easily of Olympic-level when it comes to physical prowess, speed and coordination, and can push his body to above human limits if necessary.

Superhuman Strikes:

Remo has built up his hands and feet to where he can damage hard objects and obstacles without injuring himself. He can deliver enough force with a strike equal to the blow of a swung sledgehammer.

Covert Operations:
Remo has also gained some training in moving without being detected, and has learned how to get in and out of places he shouldn't. He's no CIA spook, however, and often finds his efforts to sneak in and out of places to be somewhat less than effective.

Martial Arts:

Remo has studied under an elite martial artist, although he has a few decades to go to get to the skill level his mentor possesses. His fighting style is largely characterized by using pressure points disable limbs, paralyze, cause intense pain, or kill. He is able to (barely) hold his own against people like Lady Shiva and Batman. However, lacking experience, unless Remo gets lucky, those two would win and it wouldn't take very long for that to happen.

Agent of Cure:

As CURE's field agent, Remo has potentially the resources of the entire American government...IF the resources are deemed necessary. CURE's director, Smith, is notoriously miserly and penny-pinching when it comes to expenses, so Remo can get whatever he NEEDS...but only when he needs it. And he has to keep all his receipts.

Sucker For a Pretty Face:
Remo has a nasty habit (partly due to his loneliness) to finds himself attracted to, well, attractive women. Unfortunately, this leads to a consistent habit of underestimating them.

Susceptibility To Toxins:

Because Remo's body is so finely tuned, toxins and other substances that might be detrimental to the body can affect him much more profoundly. Even compounds like artificial sweeteners and food fillers can make him sick. However, while this means that he is affected more quickly, he is much more resilient to long-term effects, and can eventually expel the poisons, but he will be near-comatose while doing so.
