Lex Luthor is and forever will always be the self-imposed Last Hope of Humanity. As the CEO of the multi-national corporate powerhouse known as LexCorp, Lex Luthor is as much a man of the people as he is a man above them. Lex Luthor is a man from dire and humble beginnings that worked his fingers to the bone to get where he is today and that is often evident in his egocentric personality. However, despite the fact that he doesn't lack confidence or intelligence in the least, Lex Luthor is a brilliant scientist and widely respected philanthropist that has the future of the world in the palm of his hand. A true visionary, Lex Luthor can see the potential in the human race and lives each day to lead the world to a better tomorrow.

Despite his inclusive corporation and philanthropic lifestyle, Lex Luthor's public stance on non-human entities, specifically aliens, is well documented as being cautiously negative with shades of distrust and worry. His intentions to make the people of Metropolis, and the world, find a way to better themselves without outside interference are as pure as the most visible target of his anti-alien agenda: Superman.

History

Lex was the first child of Lillian and Lionel Luthor. At this point, Lionel Luthor and LuthorCorp were already a global powerhouse force of business that could not be reckoned with. So, Lex was born into wealth and power. Lionel immediately began to groom Lex to be his heir. Things started early as Lex was shipped off to boarding school at a very early age. It was on one of his rare trips back home that Lex's life took a turn for something more.

Smallville. While accompanying his father on a business trip, the infamous meteor shower occurred. Caught in the middle of this storm of meteor rocks two things happened to Lex: he lost his hair and became the bane of his father's existence. It was then that Lionel Luthor began to look at his son with a strong distaste and a certain disgust. Lex picked up on it immediately and the rift between father and son began anew.

Years later Lillian had another son, Julian. Sadly, though, Lillian suffered from a severe case of postpartum depression. What happened is unspeakable but Lex stood up for his mother, taking the blame for the heinous act. After the death of his mother, two years later, Lex's relationship with his father became even worse. Whether it was out of spite or some twisted version of love, Lionel kept Lex at a distance, shipping him off to various boarding schools and showering him with expensive gifts and piles of money. Lex never knew anything but this twisted form of love and that's how he began to view the world.

Lex's high school was spent at Excelsior Academy, yet another prestigious boarding school that costs too much money. After graduation Lex attempted to attend Metropolis University but was kicked out. After disgracing Met U with his presence, Lex found himself in a series of predicaments that never came to light thanks to his father's money and connections. Eventually, Lex attended Princeton University, like his father, and graduated in less than half the time with a degree in biochemical engineering. Lex was taking a break from his graduate studies at Yale when he returned to Smallville.

Lex established himself as a staple of Smallville as well as befriending a young man by the name of Clark Kent. Throughout his years in Smallville their friendship soured due to various issues of dishonesty and distrust. Lex Luthor, as much as he fought against it, was stuck down a one way path to be just like his father. Eventually, the friends became enemies and their true destiny became apparent.

After an accident put Lionel Luthor out of commission, the board put LuthorCorp in Lex's hands. Lex quickly rebranded it in his own image as LexCorp. Lex moved to Metropolis and took LexCorp to the next stage of being a global powerhouse. The "birth" of Superman in a city that Lex considered his property was the cruelest insult. This sent Lex even further down the path towards becoming his father than he was already on. He stepped fully into the darkness and has since completely embraced his role as the villain of this story.

Personality

When you think of Lex Luthor you think of arrogance and ego. These are the two most defining traits of Lex Luthor. Everything he is and will become stems from either his arrogance or his egotism. If you look into the history of Lex Luthor you'll find that he always believes that he knows everything. That Lex Luthor knows best. He does not shy away from his brilliance nor does he downplay it. By sheer force of will he expects everyone to conform to his wishes and ideals. It is this arrogance that leads to his impenetrable ego. In a lot of ways, Lex Luthor's ego is the key to his downfall. He cannot see past his own perfection enough to realize that he may be doing something wrong, over or under thinking. That he, Lex Luthor, may have simply made a mistake. While it may be a very rare moment for Lex Luthor to actually make a mistake but even the possibility of such doesn't exist within Lex Luthor's mind.

Beyond those two traits, Lex Luthor is simply a madman from a tortured and broken past. He's insane, crazy and completely devoid of compassion and remorse. He believes that his superior intelligence and vast fortune should put him at the top of everyone's list. Anyone that does not comply with his vision for the future can and will be destroyed.

• Clones

Lex Luthor has access to genetic replications of himself which allow for impersonation and other various uses. These clones are perfect in every way and kept under lock and key, unable to be released by anyone but Lex Luthor himself.

• Criminal Affairs

Lex Luthor is a criminal mastermind. As such, he knows and understands the criminal element like no other, has an incredibly far reaching network of criminals to call upon for a variety of different things and he is one of the kingpins of the Metropolis underworld.

• Hope & Mercy

Lex Luthor is constantly protected by two Amazonian bodyguards named Hope & Mercy. They are fiercely loyal to Lex Luthor and will do anything he asks of them. If Lex Luthor were to have trusted confidants, these Amazons would be them.

• Kryptonite

Lex Luthor is in possession of Kryptonite. It is unknown just how much of this substance he has access to. However, a large chunk of LexCorp's resources are focused on the search and seizure of Kryptonite. The discovery of an element that can harm Superman has made this a constant top priority in the eyes of Lex Luthor.

Kryptonite Ring: Lex Luthor has fashioned himself a ring with a Kryptonite stone for protection and self-defense purposes.

Synthetic Kryptonite: Lex Luthor has managed to reverse engineer a form of Synthetic Kryptonite for mass use. It does not, at all, function with the same intensity and strength as natural Kryptonite. However, it does manage to function in a capacity of about fifteen percent of true Kryptonite, making it useful in a pinch or when used in bulk.

• LexCorp

Lex Luthor is the head of one of the biggest corporations in the world. Not only does LexCorp provide goods and services in a global capacity, it also provides jobs and turns an incredible profit for Lex Luthor and makes him obnoxiously wealthy. LexCorp is also the corporation from which all of Lex Luthor's criminal activities get their funding, as well as what he launders the money through on a large scale. LexCorp provides Lex Luthor with anything and everything that he could want or need in activities of all types, thus making it the ultimate plot device.

LexCorp provides more jobs for Metropolis than any other company in the city. Not only that but since LexCorp exists on a global scale, it provides a lot of jobs and a lot of opportunities for employment. This is the backbone of LexCorp; each and every one of these companies provides Lex with more than enough resources throughout to keep LexCorp at the top where it belongs, as well as assist him with his obsession and the betterment of humanity under his guidance.

• LexCorp Tower

Designed in a double L shape, the towers provide Lex with a 307 story tall throne from which to rule Metropolis. The tallest building in the city, this is the headquarters for the entire LexCorp empire. From within the twin towers of egotistical bliss, Lex Luthor keeps heavy surveillance on his city, while also providing numerous goods, services and shopping areas within the huge structure. Due to the nature of Lex Luthor, there are also secret floors, labs, rooms that hide the true nature of Lex Luthor and LexCorp. Designed with the utmost in physical durability, top flight surveillance and security, LexCorp Towers is a fortress without the solitude, all wrapped up in a visually stimulating package. There's even a mall.

• LexTech

Lex Luthor is the CEO and Founder of LexCorp. This gives him access to anything and everything that is related to the corporation; specifically the technology that is created within the walls of LexCorp facilities. Whatever is created can and will be used by Lex Luthor in any way, shape or form that he deems necessary. The possibilities for technological marvels through LexCorp are nigh-limitless.

LexCorp provides Lex Luthor with an incredible amount of technology. Each LexTech division provides Lex Luthor with access to advanced technology beyond the scope of basic human invention.

LexTech (BioTech): Lex Luthor is a master bioengineer himself and also has some of the best in the world on his payroll. Together, they work hard on biological equipment and medicinal products. He has state of the art technology when it comes to the examination and study of living things and uses this research to further his own product lines and selfish needs.

LexTech (Bionics): LexCorp is one of the leading corporations that offers bionic implants and replacement limbs at affordable pricing. Bionics from LexCorp are durable, useful and lifelike. They are also, ultimately, underneath the control of Lex Luthor via nanotechnology.

LexTech (Firearms): LexCorp makes a ton of money from weapons manufacturing. While he sells weapons and designs on a global scale, the American Military gets the bulk of the good stuff in a show of patriotism. Firearms range from pistols all the way up to advanced tech cannons.

LexTech (Protection): LexCorp is in the protection business also, designing protective armors, blast shields and other defensive measures for law enforcement agencies, private security forces and military groups. There are even some civilian models available to the general public.

LexTech (Melee): LexCorp provides a service to civilian and law enforcement agencies by designing and marketing a variety of non-lethal melee weaponry such as batons, tasers, staves and other basic and simple weaponry.

LexTech (Robotics): Robotics and artificial intelligence is one of the premiere technological marvels from LexCorp. The production of robots of all types, ranging from Security Sentries to Military Drones to Civilian Household Assistants or even Androids is a major part of LexCorp's manufacturing.

LexTech (Vehicles): Lex Luthor has fleets of vehicles at his disposal, thanks to LexCorp and various contracts with transportation services around the globe. Everything from cars to jets to boats and trains on the civilian side are available to the general public. Tanks, fighter jets and other more radical and violence causing designs are available in the private sector. All of these vehicles, and more, are available to Lex Luthor.

• Pawns

Lex Luthor is a man with a lot of power and clout. Not only that, but he is not above using blackmail or intimidation or anything to get what he wants from people. That gives him a lot of Pawns to play with. Some of them are nothing more than humble civilians trying to make a living, while others are military types or even high ranking political figures. Being able to push them around like pawns on a chessboard can only improve Lex Luthor's chances of victory.

• Secret Files

Lex Luthor is a very paranoid individual. However, he keeps good notes and records on almost every important figure that he comes across in his life. From Superheroes to Supervillains to Political Figures to Mutants and Aliens, there is a Secret File containing information, evidence and various other things that Lex Luthor will use to take advantage of a situation or a person. It's all about having the upper hand.

• Special Projects

The Special Projects division of LexCorp is where most of Lex Luthor's villainous attempts at alien destruction or global domination come from. These projects are only limited by Lex's imagination and resources and can surface as any number of different things. More often than not, they take the form of superpowered creatures of Lex's design in an attempt to battle the likes of Superman and his allies.

• Team Luthor

Lex Luthor's private security force is known as Team Luthor. They patrol and secure every single facility that belongs to LexCorp and are also available for Lex Luthor's personal use. They are nothing short of a privatized military force that are extremely loyal to Lex Luthor and exist to serve the Man of Tomorrow. They are extremely well trained, significantly armed and make the Metropolis Police Department look like Rent-A-Cops.

• Villainous Schemes

Lex Luthor is not just a criminal mastermind, he's a tyrannical super villain. His mind works in ways that allows him to think huge and grandiose and thus creates epic plots of destruction and global domination. To be perfectly honest, if Lex Luthor were to use this mind for good instead of evil, he would probably be one of the best plotters and schemers in the history of mankind. However, his dark and twisted nature allows him to go steps beyond what would normally be accepted for people of his brilliance and thus his schemes are rarely ever what they may or may not seem to be on the surface. There's always more. There's always another phase. There's always more to Lex Luthor's schemes than meets the eye.

• Warsuit

In an attempt to both outdo and upstage the Superman, Lex Luthor has created a series of warsuits to be used when engaging in combat with the Man of Steel. The different models of the suit are varied in style and design, but the features and armaments are the same, more or less. The warsuits are designed to have infinite upgrade potential which allows Lex Luthor to make changes to the suits designs or completely create another model as he pleases.

Warsuit Vitals: When wearing the warsuit, all of Lex Luthor's baseline physical abilities are augmented due to the brilliance of Lex Luthor's design and craftsmanship. His mastery over technology allows the suit to be one of the most incredible pieces of tech at his disposal.

Enhanced Agility - Rate of movement and reaction time are somewhere between 75x and 125x normal speed depending on the model #.

Enhanced Strength - The suit was originally designed to put Lex Luthor on par with Superman on a physical level. However, correctly measuring the Man of Steel's strength is an impossibility so Lex has topped the suit's strength out at 500 tons.

Hyper Perception - Even with a mind as brilliant as Lex Luthor's, there has been an installation of various programs and computers all working in tandem for whatever objectives and parameters are set by Lex Luthor. There is no A.I. system to serve as a "voice of reason".

Assisted Intelligence - Lex Luthor's brilliance is merely modified by information coming in and how he applies it to the current combative situation. The information gathered tends to give him a slight combative edge.

Warrior's Will - Lex Luthor is already a strong-willed madman. The suit merely augments this through confidence and static shielding to keep his mind scrambled to outside manipulation and interference.

Flight - Jet boots, thrusters and various other aerospace designs are combined to allow Lex to travel up to 100,000 MPH. A special number to Lex as that is what he clocked Superman's speed to be on numerous occasions.

Combat Computer - One of the main computers connected to the warsuit is one designed specifically for combat. It augments his hand-to-hand combat ability to incredible levels due to the inter-reactive learning program that has been installed in this computer. There's also a targeting system and Localized Environmental Xposition (LEX Display) that allows for impressive long range combat ability when using the suit's weapons.

Life Support - The warsuit's second priority is keeping Lex Luthor alive. With a built in life support system that rivals cryostasis. It is designed to keep Lex Luthor alive at all costs, even if that means diverting all power to protection and retreat, as well as the application of high-tech medical practices available only from LexCorp.

Communications - Through various technological marvels, radio waves, audio/video and a series of LexCorp Satellites, Lex Luthor is capable of communicating with those on his network on a global scale. This allows him to command his company and lackeys from the suit. It also gives him access to police and government agency frequencies.

Self Containment - The warsuit is capable of withstanding any natural environment, hostile or otherwise, as well as space travel and various other locations that would be harmful to his humanity.

• Warsuit Tech

In an attempt to outdo and upstage the Superman, Lex Luthor has created a series of warsuits to be used when engaging in combat with the Man of Steel. The different models of the suit are varied in style and design, but the features and armaments are the same, more or less. The warsuits are designed to have infinite upgrade potential, which allows Lex Luthor to make changes to the suits design or completely create another model as he pleases.

Warsuit Features: Lex Luthor has a variety of special features, weaponry, gadgetry and random technology built into his warsuits. At any given time any or all of the following features may be available to Lex while wearing one of the suits.

Forcefield - The suit's force field is a tinted bubble that surrounds the suit alone. Nothing gets in or out of the forcefield so it renders Lex weaponless when in use.

Energy Gauntlets - The gauntlets are designed to emit a special beam of hard energy designed by Lex Luthor. The strength of the energy varies depending on what it comes into contact with but it is said to be capable of damaging many different materials in different ways. The energy can be shot from the gauntlets in beam or ray form, as well as being used to create a glow around the gauntlets for added power and damage dealing during melee combat situations.

Energy Cannon - Removable shoulder mounted energy cannon that is capable of dealing out incredible damage. Limited Use.

Energy Shield - The energy shield is emitted from the left gauntlet and is capable of stopping multiple attacks of an anti-tank caliber.

Energy Blade - Extending from the right gauntlet is an energy blade to be used for close quarters combat. Made from hard energy, so it is capable of deflection as well as slicing through things like butter.

Electrical Surge - The suit is capable of creating an electrical surge of about 5 - 10 Gigawatts all throughout the suit. The wearer is protected making this ideal for close quarters combat situations.

Sonic Emitter - The warsuit is armed with a sonic emission device which is capable of producing sonic sound waves up to 180 db for extended periods of time.

Biostatic Shielding - The warsuit has built in psionic shielding to protect Lex Luthor from telepathic attacks and the application of mind powers used against him.
