Profile

Sybil Dvorak was a gypsy brought to America by a middle-aged actor as his mistress. Feeling left out of his social circle, she created a costume and used her powers to steal from the wealthy socialites he consorted with. Later she married the actor and was soon widowed, living a life of luxury...but she enjoyed the thrill of living by her wits and powers so she has kept adventuring as the Gypsy Moth even though she now moves in the social circles she once envied.

< Feedback >--------------------------------- This ability is only marginally developed, she uses it to feel what she is doing telekinetically, but she has begun to realize it gives her more advantages than problems. She can, by sending out a very low level telekinetiv pulse, instantly mak her surroundings in a kind of mental radar. She can use it to feel inside alarm systems or locks to disarm them without tools (though she usually does use tools, she can do it by strait telekinesis). She can use it to align hurt tissues inside her own body or that of others (and mesh them together using her telekinesis) causing quick (though not painless) healing. She can target pressure points on the inside of armor. She has only just begun to realize how much of an advantage this ability gives her over others who lack such a finely developed telekinetic sense. ---------------------------------< Fitness >---------------------------------- Sybil is a fit athletic woman who engages in regular exercise. While not competition level, she is not helpless even without her powers. -------------------------------< Telekinetic >-------------------------------- Sybil's powers are telekinetic in nature, while she is not so strong a telekinetic as some, she has extremely fine control of her powers and has exceptional feedback from them. She finds it much easier to manipulate soft objects than hard ones, to the point where she avoids the direct touch of hard objects when she can. Her telekinetic strength is roughly equal to her physical strength. She has been known to perform the following feats with her telekinesis: Flight at slow speed (top speed about 30 kph), ensnareing enemies in their own clothing, and attacking INSIDE objects and people. This last trick combined with her previously mentioned ability to feel how hard objects she manipulates are, indicates she can actully use her abilities at very low level to sense her surroundings. She can, thus, use them to stop blood flow inside the body to cause strokes and heart attacks, can use them to cause mucscle cramps or irritte nerve endings to cause blindness, deafness, or pain, create muscle cramps, and many other such effects. Most telekinetics are limited to effecting what they can see, so in this one way she has a considerable advantage.

< Anatomist >--------------------------------- While she is not formally trained in biology, Sybil has a great deal of practice at knowing what is going on inside of the body of others. As such, she know how to harm or help others. She is an expert at first aid, when she feels like it, and can also expertly stimulate the senses of others for their pleasure. Conversely, she knows exactly how to hit where it hurts...and can do so even if she is unable to normally reach the place she needs because of things like armor that would block most attacks. --------------------------------< Bilingual >--------------------------------- Sybil speaks both English and Romanian. ----------------------------------< Combat >---------------------------------- While Sybil prefers to avoid combat, she has had times where she joined groups of female warriors and has decent training in physical combat. She is considerably better when she can add her telekinesis to her physical skills...and can combine the two effectively. ----------------------------------< Dancer >---------------------------------- Sybil is skilled at any number of sensual and erotic dance styles...but mostly knows about dancing FOR people not dancing WITH them. ------------------------------< Fortune Teller >------------------------------ Sybil can not tell the future, but is an expert in the techniques of the fortune teller such as making broad statements and asking leading questions to draw out information. She is gifted at reading people and can expertly play a medium (using her telekinetic powers to create a number of "spiritual" effects). ----------------------------------< Thief >----------------------------------- Sybil is an accomplished thief and can pick locks or pick pockets, can climb expertly and disable alarms, can sneak and hide, and otherwise perform stealthy actions. This also includes things like balancing on narrow ledges, jumping between rooftops, and dodging lightbeams from electric eyes, so she is a decent acrobat also.

< Cult >----------------------------------- Though she is less involved now in her sensualist cult than she was, she could still likely call upon the members for favors...though few of them possess any notable skills. --------------------------------< Equipment >--------------------------------- Sybil tends to carry lock picks and similar tools, as well as such things as rope, fishing line, and cloth. She does not carry weapons of any kind (unless you count the rope). She notably does not carry such things as gas masks, flash powder, or smoke capsules in most cases...she prefers to rely on her skills and powers. ---------------------------------< Wealthy >---------------------------------- Sybil was married to a wealthy actor, and with his demise has inherited roughly $25 million in liquid assets. In addition, she has a number of other assets like a Mansion in Las Angeles that could possibly liquidated for a similar amount. She can generally buy anything she really needs.

< Easily Distracted >----------------------------- She is doing things for fun and thrills, not because they really matter to her, as such she can often be diverted to other things that are interesting...and will usually run away if things get too hard. ---------------------------------< Feedback >--------------------------------- Touching hard things with her telekinesis can be physically painful, in direct proportion to how hard the object and how much force is being exerted. As such, she will not use her telekinesis on gem stones or on hard metals like steel (basically anything harder than Brazillian Ebony or Bone will hurt). She CAN still manipulate things like locks, but it hurts to do so and will use other means than direct manipulation if possible (such as maneuvering a peice of hard wood inside a lock with her telekinesis to apply pressure on the tumblers).
