There can be no mistaking this woman for who and what she is: one of Gotham City's most notorious cat burglars. Catwoman stands in the neighborhood of five and a half feet tall and is dressed for action in a catsuit that's black as night, hugging her athletic body in all the right places. The outfit holds a shine to it under the right light, but it has a textured pattern to it in places that suggests a composite of materials for the maximum in flexibility and protection.
Her head and face is mostly hidden behind a half-hood, a strap and buckle beneath the chin to keep it snug. Stylish cat ears sit atop her head, built into the hood itself, and she wears a pair of red-tinted goggles that turn up at the tips to hint at another pair of ears. This leaves just her nose, mouth, and cheeks visible, her own ears covered. Dark lipstick, a deep red that sometimes comes off as black, provides a contrast to skin that looks on the pale side. Based on what's seen of her expression - the goggles hide her eyes - she has the look of someone full of confidence about herself and her place in the world. Sometimes, a few strands of black hair poke out at her forehead from beneath the hood.
The catsuit covers the entirety of her body from the neck down, a ring for a pull zipper found at the throat, though at times it finds a spot closer to her bosom depending on how distracting she wants to be. Gloves sheathe her hands and fingers, built into extra coverage up to the forearms, and claws tip each digit. As for her feet, boots go about halfway up her shins, buckled in place with a textured sole to help her better grip whatever surface she's on. It's flat, no heel to it.
Last, but certainly not least, a dangerous-looking bullwhip is normally coiled about her waist, the handle to one side as it gives the idea of a tail when she's in motion. A belt buckle in the shape of a cat's head helps hold it in place. If that whip is in use, watch out.
The woman before you exudes an aura of effortless elegance and danger, as if she could have just stepped off the pages of a high-fashion magazine. Her beauty is strikingly modern---sleek and agile, with a lithe frame that speaks to her physical prowess rather than traditional hourglass curves. Her dark hair, silky and straight, falls just below her shoulders, often tucked behind her ears to reveal the sharp angles of her face. Her piercing blue eyes, framed by meticulously applied eyeliner and a subtle smoky shadow, hold a depth of experience and a hint of mischief, inviting you to guess at the secrets they conceal. Her makeup is artfully understated, designed to enhance her natural beauty without drawing too much attention. A touch of nude lipstick highlights her full lips, and a delicate blush accentuates her high cheekbones. Each detail is carefully considered, contributing to a look that is both polished and unassuming.

Today, she is dressed in her iconic catsuit, a marvel of sleek, black leather that fits her like a second skin. The suit's design is both functional and stylish, hugging her athletic frame and allowing for complete freedom of movement. Subtle lines and panels add texture and visual interest, while practical elements like reinforced elbows and knees hint at the suit's durability and purpose. Her high-heeled boots add a touch of elegance to her ensemble, their pointed toes and stiletto heels as deadly as they are fashionable. Around her waist, a utility belt houses an array of tools and gadgets, each meticulously placed for easy access during her heists. A pair of night-vision goggles rest atop her head, ready to be deployed at a moment's notice. The suit's deep neckline adds a provocative edge, hinting at the confidence and allure she wields with ease. Her accessories are minimal but impactful. A pair of sleek, black gloves cover her hands, their fingertips reinforced for climbing and combat. She wears no jewelry save for a single, elegant black choker around her neck, a subtle nod to her feline inspiration.

Catwoman's history is not for the faint of heart. She was born in one of the worst parts of Gotham City. Her parents, Brian and Maria, came up well short of being ideal parents. Maria was often distant toward both Selina and her sister Maggie, focusing more of her attention on the cats they had instead. Brian was an alcoholic and treated Maria very poorly. Just to get away from the trouble at home, Selina took up gymnastics, but at one point she came home from school to find Maria dead in a pool of her own blood in the bathtub. Suicide by razor blade was accepted as the cause. If that wasn't enough, another day came where Brian also died, this due to overdrinking. Selina ran away from home after summoning the police.
With Maggie in an orphanage, Selina took to the streets to survive, starting out by stealing food from various supermarkets before she was busted and taken to an orphanage herself. This led to juvenile hall thanks to the trouble she consistently caused. Attempted murder followed when she was thirteen, sent to yet another orphanage different from the first one. When Selina learned the place was embezzling money, they stuffed her into a bag, leaving her to die in a river. Fortunately for her, she managed to get herself free. Revenge soon followed as she obtained proof of the money theft along with taking some of it for herself first, then she contacted the police and they took care of the rest.
Selina laid low for a spell, but the thrill of thieving was too great to ignore for very long. She spent time as a prostitute, but also ramped up her capers as a cat burglar, graduating to mostly pilfering valuable gems from museums and the rich. During one of these forays, a ninja made off with a totem she'd been after. Tracking him down, she came across a warehouse being used as a clandestine martial arts academy. The ninja, Kai, urged for her to be punished, but the Sensei saw how fast her reflexes were and invited her to join them to improve her knowledge and skill.
After accepting, some weeks passed and Selina showed real progress. By then, she'd gained the nickname of "Nehko-Chan" at the academy. This, along with the fact the Sensei showed favor to Selina over the rest, led to deepening jealousy and resentment from Kai, who often injured her on purpose while training. This resulted in her leaving before much more time went by, but she soon found a new target to focus on.
