Sarah is something of a beauty, but she doesn't quite seem to get it. Long black hair is often messily braided, wisps always bidding for escape - when not just left down completely. Storm blue eyes, far too expressive for her to be much good at lying and lips curled like a cupid's bow. Her skin is holds a light tan to it, though one found naturally from working under the sun. Laugh lines touching at he corner of her eyes, but only just.

What makes her a real fish out of water is the way that she dresses, however. Faded jeans tucked into a pair of well-loved cowboy boots. A simple t-shirt with logos faded beyond recognition through washing found under the ever-present jacket. Wool lined, gray and with a servicable hood, it looks like it must have survived more storms than most people. Atop her head is often found a bent-to-suit charcoal Stetson that's seen far, far better days.

Born and raised North of Columbia Falls in Montana, it was not an easy life. Her parents owned a cattle ?ranch and it was all hands on deck, no matter what. Waking up at 3:30 every morning to begin chores before going to school and learning quickly that if you wanted something done or fixed? You did it yourself. She had to deal with some prejudice due to her grandmother being Blackfoot Indian, though not a lot. Raised on her grandma's stories and strict but loving parents. She didn't really understand prejudice until her mutation manifested. Luckily, she was working on a tractor in the fields alone when it happened. While she was scared, she began to experiment quietly on her own with what she could do.

Her best friend was not so lucky. He had spines and gills and scales and there was no hiding his mutation from the world. She remembered the day that the people from Xavier's came by and offered him sanctuary at their school. Yet, for some reason Jason's parents were very against it. Sarah was lucky enough to speak briefly with them and was grateful for whatever means they had stating there were two mutants in the small town.

She and Jason only became closer as the years went on, Jason's dream of running away to the school yet it was Sarah that coached him to do it right. Once he was 18, they could go anywhere. Enduring the hateful comments slung at him. Just two more years. All of that ended the night he got into a fight. His aquatic mutation was almost like a stone fish, in many regards and when they tackled him, one of the boys was poisoned and died. He ran to Sarah's and woke her up with taps on her window and told her what happened - they ran. Certainly Sarah knew she could continue simply not telling everyone about her own mutation but Jason had no such chance and she would never let him do this alone. They fled East.

They got all the way to South Dakota before they were found. Taking odd jobs where she could find them until she landed herself in a mechanic's position in Tomkins Cove in New York. Happy to work for years, never telling anyone about her mutation nor did she approach the school, though the worn business card was tucked into her wallet.

She'd lied about her age when she rolled into Tomkins Cove for her first job and gave herself the excuse that she wanted to have some funds before accepting the calling card. She doesn't even remember the second excuse. She kept telling herself them until the big one was that she was too old. It wasn't until years later that she admitted her reluctance as being afraid they wouldn't take her. Who wants a girl who nearly drops dead and turns into a bad episode of Knight Rider?

At first glance, most people take a look at Sarah and think she's a bit 'slower' than some. Her accent places her as a North Western, for those with an ear for such things and most people tend to associate it more as quaint (or stupid, if they're not as kind). Regardless of the truth, Sarah does little to disuade people since it's easier to be underestimated than overestimated. While she may not be book smart, she has a wealth of knowledge of the world. You could toss her out into any wildnerness and bet good money that she'll do better than survive, she'll thrive.

A bit more 'country' than most people found in New York State and it shows in her personality and mannerisms. Though, her true love will always be surrounded by nature, fire crackling and a marshmallow burnt beyond recognition.

Sarah is able to, by physically touching a mechanical or electrical vehicle, possess it. This leaves her body behind in a sort of torpor, since her consciousness is no longer present (note: vital functions remain normal). While she has a vehicle 'hijacked' she can remain so as long as she is able to stay awake and within a 100 kilometer range of her body. At the cost of roughly 5 hours of 'awake' time, she is able to hijack another vehicle so long as the vehicle she is in makes physical contact with it. Any mechanical or electrical machine that was designed for transportation can be hijacked.

Should the vehicle become un-pilotable through damage, Sarah is snapped back to her body with an incredibly diabilitating headache. Any minor damage merely exhausts the 'awake' time depending on severity. Once Sarah reaches the limit of consciousness, she is snapped back into her body where she will sleep until rested once more (minimum 6 hours of sleep). However, should she willingly return to her body, then she simply feels tired as if having been physically active throughout the day.

The 100 kilometer limit of her ability is a bit touch and go, similar to a drone being piloted beyond range. Reaction times are slower, bouts of time where she is unable to pilot, etc. This limit is a bubble and her body will always be at the center of it.
