To most of the world Slade Wilson is a semi-retired "gentleman adventurer" who made a name for himself largely as a big-game hunter a few decades back and managed to wisely invest his earnings into what become a sizeable fortune. He's now a well-known investor in various military contracting companies and partakes in many philanthropic endeavours, particularly those geared towards the care of military veterans. He's also a known donor to military-friendly politicians though he tends to keep his political opinions private beyond those donations. In the underworld, however, Slade Wilson is Deathstroke, the Terminator, arguably the world's greatest assassin and most well-paid mercenary. Deathstroke is a legend in espionage and mercenary circles, having been operating for over two decades with no sign of slowing down. Among the superheroic community he is known as an exceptionally dangerous foe to come up against, less so for his raw power as his cunning intellect and knack for having every contingency covered. However he is no wanton killer or deranged maniac. He has a rigid code of honor that at least in his mind sets him above and apart from the usual criminal scum. A code that has on rare occasion caused him to work alongside heroes rather than against them.
