Caitlin Snow, Ph.D., is a genius bio-engineer - and the chief medical officer at Star Labs. She often helps the Flash in his crusade for good - and is one of the few privileged to know the man behind the mask. However, there's more to Caitlin than it seems - due to an experiment to cure a deadly childhood disease, her psyche fractured in half. A second persona formed from within her soul - one with potent ice powers and a matching personality. So - the scientist doctor and the frigid psychopath share one body in an uneasy truce.

CAIT
A slender athletic woman stands before you, around 5'6". Caitlin Snow's hair is chestnut brown which frames her face and hangs to her shoulders. She has a very beautiful face, with a bit of a tan. Her eyes are dark brown. She has a petite nose, and her lips are painted pink, often curved into a happy smile.

Caitlin's neck is narrow and leads into slender shoulders. She wears an olive-green dress that has a V-neck with a cross-strap, cut high enough to not show cleavage. It is a bit loose around her figure, but enough to show her curves. It's sleeveless to show her bare arms - which are slender with some hint of muscle. Her fingers are slender, nails painted pink. The dress continues on down and ends at her knees. Her lower legs are exposed - showing some muscle but nothing too extreme. She wears olive-green pumps with a two-inch heel.

KILLER FROST
A slender athletic woman stands before you, around 5'6"... the air around her is almost shimmering with ice crystals. Killer Frost's hair is white as snow, which frames her face and hangs to her shoulders. Her skin is deathly pale, but nonetheless she has a very beautiful face. Her eyes are cyan and they tend to glow, especially when exerting her powers. She has a petite nose, and her lips are blue... often curved into a sadistic smirk.

Frost's neck is narrow and leads into slender shoulders. She wears a dark blue trench coat on her body, and under it a relatively skimpy dress that has a plunging V-neck with a cross strap to show cleavage. It hugs her figure to show her feminine curves. The coat isn't entirely blue - part of it is white starting at the shoulders and going down half the sleeve. Her hands are exposed; slender fingers with long nails painted black. There's a black leather belt around her waist, with a snowflake buckle. The dress ends on her upper thighs, which leaves some of that pale flesh of her legs exposed, before thigh-high black leather boots take over. They go down the rest of her legs, ending in two-inch heels.

History

Caitlin was born to two scientists. From the beginning she was the apple of their eyes. She idolized her parents and wanted to follow in their footsteps - she wanted to be a doctor from a young age. She was very close to her father, who went on scientific trips and mentored her on a lot of things.... however, her father fell ill with ALS... and a blood test determined that Caitlin inherited that gene and would succumb to the disease too. Desperate, he used an experimental cryogenic therapy which seemed to cure him - and thus did the same to Caitlin, making sure she'd never succumb to the disease... leaving behind a fracture in her psyche, the beginning of a split personality. This other persona, Killer Frost, manifested once when Caitlin was a child after breaking her leg. Then... her father disappeared and was presumed dead. This froze her mother's heart and her mom simply absorbed herself in her work - caring little for the daughter she once cared so much for.

Caitlin was an excellent student and got into Hudson University on her own merits, and ended up with two doctorates and a Ph.D. in bio-engineering. Her mother offered her a position at her business, but the two being estranged, she declined and went to Star Labs instead. Where she met Ronnie Raymond. The two became close very fast and fell in love. They got engaged and were planning a wedding... then....

The particle accelerator at Star Labs went critical. A massive wave of dark matter went through the city, causing devastation... her fiance disappears in the devastation... and a police forensics officer, Barry Allen, was brought in comatose. She helped care for this man for nine months. Barry Allen awoke and became the hero known as the Flash. She served as support, helping patch him up when he got hurt, and saving people, using her skills to help fight crime.

But... fate had other ideas. The long-suppressed Killer Frost persona started to resurface. Caitlin started having memory lapses - and she came to to the sounds of screams and frozen things. When she saw the perpetrator on various news reports - she was shocked for she was staring at a twisted version of HER OWN FACE. Scared, she turned to the geniuses at Star Labs - and with some technological trick, she stated to communicate with her 'sister'. The two started to realize that fighting over the shared body was only going to damage them both... communication between the two became easier and eventually could happen without the device. They came to a truce - for neither could truly wrest the body fully away from the other. Now - Caitlin Snow is on call for medical and scientific needs, Killer Frost for more... hands-on approaches. Caitlin tries to use her belief in the goodness of people to counterbalance Frost's amorality - to various degrees of success.

Personality

CAIT
Caitlin is intelligent and very passionate about her work as a bio-engineer and scientist. She tends to get overly excited by discoveries like new metahumans. She is compassionate and caring of her friends. However, she guards her heart carefully - she has lost so much. Her mother is apparently uncaring of her - her father is presumed dead - and her fiance is presumed dead as well.

Caitlin has a bit of a flirtatious side - mostly shown when unbalanced (drunk, frazzled, etc.). She also tends to be naive and tends to be trusting to others - especially attractive men. A small part of her is longing to have a true love again, since she has been deprived of so much. The only emotional anchor she has is her best friend Barry Allen and his team.

Finally, her 'sister' Killer Frost - a sociopath that she cannot escape - for the two share a body. She is terrified of what would happen if Killer Frost took over completely - so since the two can communicate, she settles for trying to make Frost into a better person... while Frost does try to get her to see how her naivete can be dangerous.

KILLER FROST
Killer Frost is a sociopath with a heart of ice. She cares about one and only one thing - herself. She will work for anyone that can help her with her desires - mostly money, so she acts as a mercenary. She is rude and inconsiderate. However, she does recognize the value of friendship. Barry Allen and his team - she has a fondness for. But other than those few people, she has no compunction about hurting anyone who is in the way of her objectives.

Frost has a hedonistic streak. She does like the finer things in life. She will flirt with the best of them, and is not above using seduction to get her way. Just because she _can_ become ice-cold doesn't mean she has to - she can become almost human-body-temperature if she so desires.

Finally, her 'sister' Caitlin Snow. An annoying buzz in her ear - but nonetheless, sometimes her intellect can come in handy. Caitlin definitely serves as a moral compass to the queen of ice.

Abilities

COLD IMMUNITY
Both Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost have shown extreme resistance to cold temperatures. Even down to absolute zero, they suffered no ill effect, and maintained a normal body temperature. No amount of cold temperature can stop her... even if she's in her normal form.

CONSTRUCTS (KF)
Killer Frost's powers can not just create snow, ice, and freezing air. She can create various constructs out of the ice. Intricate ones like melee weapons, a protective dome, a throne, a shield... if she can imagine it, she can create it. She can maintain her constructs for as long as she is present and can focus on them. They are extremely durable, far stronger than regular ice, able to hold up to a lot of punishment like machine gun fire. She might even be able to create an entire castle, but she would have to eventually let it go.

CRYOKINESIS (KF)
Killer Frost has control over cold temperatures and ice. She can create ice and freezing conditions at will, and at considerable range. She can freeze objects in line of sight, drop an area's temperature to arctic conditions, and create weather instabilities that can cause snow or hail. Her control is fine-tuned - she is precise enough to just freeze the contents of a coffee mug - and powerful enough to freeze an entire city block. She can create razor-sharp icicles at will and use them as improvised weapons or as deadly throwing weapons. She can also simply use a jet of superchilled air which is strong enough to blast people off their feet with its tremendous force. She can even exhale a freezing fog that can knock down a whole group. Finally, she can freeze liquids solid, so she could run across water - either just freezing just where her feet will land, or an entire body of water. She can also freeze someone solid with a kiss. Her cold is sufficient to disable speedsters if she can manage to hit them.

HEAL FACTOR (KF
Killer Frost has a healing factor that vastly accelerates her metabolic rate, so she can repair most injuries and offset what her own cold powers would do to herself. This doesn't mean that she can regrow severed body parts or the like; and it's possible that she gets injured so drastically that it would take quite some time to get back into shape. Unfortunately, only Killer Frost's injuries are subject to this rapid healing. If Caitlin gets injured, those injuries will stay until Killer Frost takes over. (If Caitlin is made comatose, she could be rendered inert until she can wake up to pass the baton.)

ICE SLIDE (KF)
Killer Frost has a rather unique use of her cryokinetics and her ability to create freezing jets of air. She can use her powers to create a slide in front of her with one hand, and propelling herself along it with her back hand at over 50 miles per hour, leaving the ice behind as she travels. The slide is strong enough to support a few people hanging onto her, and she can even snipe people from it using cryo-blasts.

PERSONA CHANGE
Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost share an uneasy partnership - neither can be away from the other for... both share one body; Killer Frost being a persona created from the dangerous experiments done to cure the ALS gene in her system. The two are in an uneasy truce, for neither can truly be fully dominant. They are capable of communicating with each other mentally, and the 'non-active' sister is somewhat aware of what's going on, though not fully. She can also 'go to sleep' and basically slumber through the other's control for a time as well.

The 'sister' in charge can pass the body over to the other one at will... but some emotional triggers can cause an inadvertent swap. If Caitlin feels extreme anger, fear, or pain, Killer Frost can arise to take over. If Frost feels a strong sense of calm, peace, or happiness, she can lose her grip and Caitlin takes over. A delicate partnership indeed - one that could easily be disrupted.

COMBAT (KF)
Killer Frost, while in full control of the body before Caitlin resurged and the two began their truce, learned how to fight. And she is pretty good at it, with skills in hand to hand combat. She can conjure icy weapons out of thin air like daggers, swords, and maces and she knows how to use them. Her ability to drop the temperature is also in her advantage... any touch to her foe could be crippling.

ENDURANCE (CAIT)
Caitlin has an extremely high endurance. She has directed others to perform surgery on herself while still fully awake, conscious, and without any painkillers. Even after taking a lot of punishment, she was able to stitch her own wounds up... and her incredible willpower has led to her battling Killer Frost's ego into a stalemate after the latter emerged and took over the body for a time.

GENIUS (CAIT)
Caitlin is extremely intelligent, with a Ph.D. and two doctorates early in life by the time she was 26. Though nothing superhuman here, Caitlin has shown to be able to solve very difficult problems, and she often channels her intellect into helping the Flash. Not a glory-hound, she has often collaborated with other scientists as well.

She is also good with technology, able to manipulate various programs. Not her field of expertise, but she is smart enough to do what's needed.

MEDICINE (CAIT)

Caitlin's main field of study was medicine. She has a doctorate in bio-engineering, and serves as Flash's medic - and the chief medical officer of Star Labs. She has solved many perplexing medical mysteries. She is even skilled enough to work on metahumans with strange medical needs, like speedsters. (She sometimes jokes about being able to do a lobotomy.) She is skilled in surgery, and even has good knowledge of obstetrics.

SISTERS
There is one advantage to having a voice in your head - a voice that's actually real. It's never lonely. Caitlin and Frost often just talk sometimes to pass the time. Their unique insight into events can often help the two come to a more satisfying conclusion to anything the two put their minds to.

Occasionally, Caitlin and Frost work together to solve problems. Most often seen when Caitlin directs Frost to use her cryo powers for medical purposes - like an instant suture or to freeze necrotized flesh before the infection can spread. Occasionally Caitlin can also help Frost with her problems, advising her on scientific methods of using cryonic attacks to further Frost's aims, even if somewhat misguided.

STAR LABS (CAIT)
Star Labs, the facility that Caitlin works at, is like a second home. Not having much of a social life most of the time, she spends a lot of her time here, working on projects, medical stuff, and helping Flash. It is such a big part of her life that she cannot imagine being anywhere else.

THE FLASH

One couldn't ask for a better best friend than Barry Allen. The Flash is kind, compassionate, and even understanding of Killer Frost's... wayward antics. Caitlin sometimes thinks of Barry as a brother. She helps him in his crusade as well as she can - both as medical support (Caitlin) or co-fighter (Frost). Even Killer Frost has fondness for Barry and he is quite possibly the only person on Earth that she won't attack.

COLD HEART (CAIT)
Though Caitlin does care for people - her heart aches. Her father and her fiance are presumed dead (she has no outright proof but a lot of circumstantial evidence), and her mother is emotionally absent from her life. She has trouble forming lasting relationships, especially romantic ones. About the only person she trusts in life is Barry Allen, her best friend, and a few people at Star Labs.

MORALITY (KF)
Killer Frost's morality is best described as 'lol'. She really has none. Frost basically acts as a mercenary. She will do any job for anyone who pays her enough. Her moniker 'Killer Frost' is not just an idle nickname. She has blood on her hands. She really only has one limit. Frost considers Flash to be a friend. And Star Labs as a safe space. She won't do anything against those. But other than that? Anyone in her way, beware!

PYROKINESIS (KF)
Extreme heat can cause problems for Killer Frost. She is not a fan of fire, and extreme heat can cause her constructs and abilities to melt... or take a _LOT_ of concentration and effort to maintain. If she got in a duel with her powers vs. a fire-based entity, the results would be a LOT of steam and a LOT of uncertainty. It's uncertain if ice or fire would win, but it would probably be an unpleasant experience for both.

SISTERS
Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost are uneasy sisters. They have almost opposite tastes in everything. It causes a lot of conflict between the two... sometimes they have arguments which looks REALLY FREAKING WEIRD to any one else for she'd be shouting at nothing. Unfortunately, the two are more or less in balance so neither one can just commandeer the shared body by herself.

STAMINA (KF)
Frost's powers are numerous and strong - but not unlimited. She has a limit to how much cryokinetic stuff she can do. Long, extended uses of her powers can tire her out and weaken her powers for a time.

TELEPATHY

Caitlin and Frost talk to each other mentally in a manner similar to telepathy. This creates a lot of psychic noise. One with telepathy might be able to meddle in this 'sisterly bond' for there'd be no real way to block it out. It could even confuse her if said telepath made her think the foreign thoughts was the dormant sister.
